Maybe if the defense could be competent and not allow for every game to be a shootout, the young backups would have more opportunities.
That's true.

End of the day - we win CONSISTENTLY, place kids in Day 1 and Day 2 of the draft, and no one will care what any local influencer has to say - kids will commit to UM and Mario regardlessCrazy only cfb program in the country where we are constantly fighting local spheres of influence.
Agreed, except for injuries and blow outs. Which generally we have had none"The point itself, though, is not without some merit."
I respectfully disagree. When you have 4 receivers as productive as we have (record breaking I think) and the games being as competitive as they have been I just don't see where you would get they young guys snaps.
As far as Uncle Luke (or any other HS coach for that matter) goes, there is a thin line between treating one with professional respect and deferring too much to the point where Uncle Luke wields too much control over how Miami runs its own team.He also coaches local HS football down here. That's where the problem is
We Savin him for the ACC Championship….you just wait. The ray ray (lack of) development has been a mystery to me. He got great reviews in fall camp, he's (supposed to be) explosive, by all accounts, is a very smart kid and a good kid. He looks slow on the field, which is odd because they called him "Flash" on SFE. Maybe he's not as good as we thought? I can see him as a portal candidate especially if we bring in a big time slot kid.
And the only other one that could play is Jojo Trader. Ray Ray looks unplayable. He mad ray ray ain’t playing like that probably. Only receiver who play could warrant a decrease in role is Sam brown but not the other 3 honestly. But even then he’s made plays at times too
The development of Horton and George this year has been, very quietly, a huge success story. The only thing I take from this is that George gets a TD catch every 6 or so receptions. He really has a nose for the end zone
I don’t know about Luke. But, Beard has made these good/very good kids to excellent route running guys. And, in X’s case, head and shoulders above. These kids just didn’t fall out of the sky, they fell out of Beards Tree. Good coaches, make for good to great players. Behind every great player, is a good GD coach. That’s Kevin Beard. Anyone that says different, is FOS, and just an ignorant Mfer.Tired of Luke-
He had his time-
He’s just being foolish-
Beard, has been very good for us as a coach and recruiting.
So he is the black version of Danny Kanellwhen he doesn't get his way, he is worse than a petulant child.
