Too much smoke here. Sounds like Al may have said he needed time to sleep on it (very Golden) and sometime today backed out. If they don't hire Munchak, Franklin, or Johnson you know PSU got rejected. True story will likely come out.

Various fake versions will likely come out. You'll probably never hear what went down unless Golden tells you. And that ain't happenin'.
 
Not that I give 2 S***s about PUS, but I hope they give it to Johnson. That would convince me that AG did reject them.

At this point, it doesn't matter. No good can come from whatever comes out. He is the coach and will be for the foreseeable future

There is no way for you to know that. If anything the nation should suspect the opposite. It's cool if you have a personal vendetta against golden but don't spread around lies pretending that they are facts

Exactly. What are you reading and where? Thomas was scared. There are quotes from him on the recruiting board. He would've stayed committed but he thought Golden might go. So Golden wasn't reassuring anyone of anything.

thomas said he was worried he might leave. Which means Thomas knew just as much of the situation as we did, i.e. nothing
 
wasn't returning phone calls to anyone yesterday. No one knew what was going on.
 
No one ever know the true story. I wonder how much Saban was talking with Texas. That went on for like 2 weeks this was only 2 days.

Everyone at Penn State loves Larry Johnson....he's a great coach, great recruiter, and has stood tall through all this. Former players are pushing for him. But i just can't see it happening. He's never even been a coordinator in college.

Probably listened to Penn State and weighed his options. Doesn't seem like he did anything wrong. Hope it's the right decision for our university.

Why make stuff up in the name of negativity? That kind of stuff is toxic for any organization.
 
The AD said he was in constant contact with Golden and thought Golden would remain the head coach. So who exactly was Golden supposed to call to squash message board rumors?

Two possibilities:
1) he was offered the position but acquiesced to his wife's preference to stay in South Florida
2) Munchak was PSU's first choice so he put out this statement as a pre-emptive strike to save face
 
The Warren Commission will tell you Golden turned it down. Yet evidence of him being ghost for days shows something else.
 
My gut feeling tells me two issues were in play.
1. Mrs. Golden loves south Florida Miami Area.
2. Golden and Dorito were a package deal and PSU said we want you not your side kick.
