Lot's of people will look silly

SIAP, but PUHLEAZE. No'Dfrio can't coach. Same as last year against MD as it was against Duke. SOME of it to do with talent/youth...MOST OF IT to do with scheme. HOW can anyone defend a coach CONSTANTLY lining up a LB in coverage against 3 and 4 WR sets? HOW can we defend a coach that has the SAME PLAY beat him over and over again? That is lack of situational awareness, coaching scared, lack of player development, and all of the above. No'D has BAD game day skills, and it won't be fixed with "TIME".

No, this point of view has not been posted yet. This is the first I've heard of any of these travesties of coaching. Thank you thank you for enlightening us all.

If you had to figure out how to line up 11 with what he has to work with, you'd be coaching scared, too.

All respect - but that's NOT how you teach. You call the plays way they should be playing, otherwise, they will have BAD habits. You can't tell me that staying in base coverage instead of nickel or dime is the right thing to do. It's setup to fail from the beginning. It's planning to fail.

Yeah, no doubt. The coaching staff planned to fail. And we all thought these guys were going to bring us back? They're probably on Puschump's payroll so FU can steal recruits.

I see, you don't know how to have a respectful discussion. Noted.

I'm not about to go predicting Top 10, but the defense clearly improved throughout the year.

Improvement is a hard thing to quantify when you're trotting out converted, two-star LBs at DE.

I don't love the scheme, but I won't give a single **** if they can keep teams out of the end zone.

LOL. Read your initial post, then come back at me.

When Miami is a top 10 defense. I know all the issues we've had this year, but I can assure you that coach Golden and staff are well aware. Calling for D'Onofrio head is premature considering the personel on that side of the ball. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I understand the frustration , but I'm willing to bet the house next year you'll see vastly improvement in all areas.

Golden gives every indication that he's a loyal person, don't expect him to be loyal to Miami, but disloyal to his long time friend. What you see is what you get.

There's lots of work to be done, and a top 10 defense may not happen till year four, however top 25 is not out of the question.

A sign of a good coach is that he still manages to get better play from his unit as the season goes on. This defense was just as awful against Duke as it was against BC. Who got better? Perryman was always good, Chick regressed, Rogers and Highsmith never improved,Howard didn't produce, not one single pass rusher emerged, blown assignments, blown leads, frantic play, chaos before the snap. I could go one but it too sickening to detail.

Youth and talent aside, 2 years is well enough time for an evaluation on a coach and O'No D needs to go.

As for your top 10 or top 25 wishes, shows me you have no clue.

Chick was fat and out of shape this year. I know they want a big physical team but when you take your best pass rusher and have him put on 20-30 lbs your asking for problems. It didnt do one **** bit of good. There was zero pass rush the entire year. We werent stout against the run. You play to your players strengths. Pressure on the qb is the #1 key to an elite defense. Run defense is overrated and can be schemed around. And when you have a high-scoring offense, a dominant pass rush is your biggest ally.
