Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

L
Texas A&M WR Noah Thomas
Sources tell On3’s Steve Wiltfong and I expect Miami, Texas and Georgia to be in the mix for wide receiver Noah Thomas. The Aggies are doing everything they can to keep Thomas in the fold.
Like many have said, something has to be going on with our QB status.
With Branch and Thomas looking at us, we have to have something cooking behind the scenes

We also offered him before he got hurt and took his commitment

Absolutely no way can you drop a kid like that after he gets hurt
Yup. I don't understand why some folks are like, "Taking injured I. Thomas shows that we should never do it again!" It's not a cautionary tale. We honored the offer and he left after a year. What's the harm in that? If Wallace is never the same I'd expect something similar to happen to him. Slimeto tore an ACL, once, which is rarely a catastrophic injury these days. Both of those guys have a ton of talent. Pretty clear with the way we are honing in on the secondary in the portal that we aren't expecting either guy to be a key contributor in '25.

Taking guys that are injured is pretty common practice anyway. Usually low risk high reward you see in free agency a lot. If it doesn’t work out not the end of the world and if somehow it does, then great

Rosters expanding helps the case since in the past it’s probably not ideal to risk it with limited rosters

But anyway, you get it. Different situations imo

You don't score a TD on the first drive of second half without an ELITE ball-hander-offer like Emory
that's what happens when defenses respect your ability to rip absolute **** missiles at will. i'm told the canes haven't had a guy with this kind of arm talent since spencer whipple.

They’re going to

Eh, we had Singleton and Concepcion visit too. Doesn’t necessarily mean something
Could’ve been selling them on Mateer possibly or someone else. I’ll say the more recent visits probably lend some credence to a QB in the works. There’s almost a zero percent chance these guys saw Emory on Saturday and said yea, let’s hear them out.
