I got dragged on here for saying the same on both guys…

Buckle up.
Should we have taken Antione?
Disagree on not taking Carter too. Theres more at play there obviously.

Obviously you have to be much more careful with guys that are injured. But it's not like a blanket standard we should have. I think it's reasonable to say we probably shouldn't have takent Thomas, but should still take Carter due to the local importance of honoring that commitment which happened pre-injury, and Antione is a top recruit....

He would absolutely kill it in this offense - no matter who our QB is
If he didn't kill it in a Lincoln Riley offense, he isn't killing it here. Zachariah is still living off of that high school ranking. Special athlete but average football player. @DMoney had an interesting stat on Zachariah. He's a worse Punt returner than RayRay.

Zion is injury prone but he would be more intriguing in terms of a strong safety/rover type.

Eh, nobody killed it in that dysfunctional *** offense this season. Their leading WR’s had 600 yards and 400 yards before their bowl game. Branch is a superior and extremely explosive athlete and if you place him in X’s role, Dawson’s high volume target slot position, he’d eat here.

Of course, this is assuming competent QB play which I’m not super confident that we will get anything done before he makes a decision but that’s a different topic.

The return stuff is legit though, but we have seen him excel there in his freshman season. Our ST coaching is absolute dog **** though, so although he’d be an improvement over 35, it’d probably still underwhelm.

I must be drawing a blank, who is carter?

Agree on special teams. Since there is restructuring going on, it's time to make Special Teams a bigger priority and hire a dedicated coach. It's a lost opportunity and we will need EVERY opportunity we can get next season...

I get what you’re saying but Georgia, Tennessee, Arizona State, Miami, and a ton of other programs disagree and still want him - I bet they forgot that since he didn’t have good stats on a 6-6 team, he must be terrible.

That same offense has produced multiple 1st round WRs. Dawson hasn't produced one....

What you're saying about his production increasing due to Dawson's offense affinity for slot receivers is true. He would post better numbers but I wouldn't expect him to be more impactful than say a X.

I feel like he's been given ample opportunities to become "the next Tyreke Hill" at USC but didn't live up to the hype.

I'm not investing heavy capital into acquire Zachariah.
