Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

He was ******* insane on tape. Watched some North Texas tape and he is incredibly explosive.

Should be right behind Singleton in terms of pecking order as far as slot type WRs go. He is a problem, from the ‘Sip though so I bet Ole Miss will be a player here.

Can you talk to canes connection and have them make a feature where you can donate a certain amount for a specific player. If that player isn't signed, ppl get a refund.

Ppl arent trying to waste money on Marley cooks and Thomas Gores anymore. Keeshawn Silver tho? I'm sure ppl would drop big money for.

Im actually serious about this.

We got Cam Ward last year.
Im being serious, no need for defensive or smart responses. What's the value of your Cam Ward response? Do you think I'm taking a shot at the school?

Regular citizens would be much more willing to drop money for players of their choosing as opposed to blindly trusting the school to decide best.

I've spoke to many ppl who don't donate as much because they don't know where the money will go (if it will even go to football).

I apologize- I'm not trying to be snarky. It's hard to communicate tone online.

I used the Cam Ward example to show where people's money is going. He costs more than a dozen Marley Cooks. We got multiple big-ticket items last year and I expect that to continue.

The short DTs were inexpensive attempts to plug holes. The further along we get, the less screaming needs there are on the team (hopefully).

So the objective is to leave holes all over the roster and pray the QB can mask all the deficiencies. Seems iron proof.
I think the idea of people being able to donate to specific names and if we don’t get them they get their money back would lead to less depth but maybe that’s just me.

I think people donating money and being told at least we got a QB, but "we are happy with the secondary" has lead to less money this offseason. Could have been prevented.

Understood, but i think what I'm trying to relay to you, is that user donations would go up significantly if there was more control for the donating person to control their money.

Exhibit A, in your thread of the Miami WR. A poster is questioning what are they using his donations for. I'm willing to bet, if he could have more control over that, he would up his donation amount.

It's really just a thought to increase our funds. I wasn't trying to attack the teams approach to the portal.

I just think, and it makes sense to me, ppl would donate more of their own hard earned money if they knew where it was going specifically.
