Anyone been paying attention who is in Portal vs intends to enter?

Is Jackson Arnold Grad Transfer? If not, he is not in yet.

We better get us a Qb and fast. These portal WRs are not pressed to play with Emory Williams …

Oklahoma QB Jackson Arnold

Sources confirmed to On3 on Wednesday that Jackson Arnold plans to enter the transfer portal. The former Five-Star Plus+ recruit and top-five quarterback will have plenty of suitors. Three early schools to watch: Georgia, Auburn and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs have a major question mark at the quarterback position in 2025, and bringing in Arnold to compete with Gunner Stockton could make sense. Auburn needs a portal quarterback, and the Tigers will have other options. But landing Arnold would give them a starter with SEC experience. And while Mississippi State doesn’t jump off the page, Jeff Lebby recruited Arnold to Norman.

USC QB Miller Moss

Miller Moss officially entered the transfer portal on Monday. The USC quarterback is going to have a lengthy list of suitors, but the early school to watch at this point is Louisville, sources tell On3. The Cardinals are expected to be aggressive in the portal and landing their quarterback fast will be imperative.

Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman

The former Texas A&M quarterback informed the coaching staff earlier this week of his plans to enter the portal. Syracuse, Missouri and Houston are on the list of schools to watch for Conner Weigman, sources have told On3. Houston is roughly 40 minutes from his hometown of Cypress.

Purdue S Dillon Thieneman

On3 broke the news Wednesday night that Purdue safety Dillon Thieneman plans to enter the transfer portal. The Indiana native was the 2023 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American. His list of suitors will be lengthy, but it will be worth keeping an eye on Notre Dame.

Fresno State WR Raylen Sharpe

The former FCS All-American has 140 career catches for 1,821 yards and 11 touchdowns. Has been clocked at 55.20 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles. Keep an eye on Arkansas for Fresno State transfer wide receiver Raylen Sharpe.

Kentucky DT Keeshawn Silver

Talented and experienced defensive tackles are not easy to come by, and that’s why every SEC team is expected to at least call about Keeshawn Silver. The former five-star recruit and North Carolina transfer is expected to be the highest-paid, non-quarterback transfer.

LSU WR CJ Daniels

The LSU wide receiver just announced earlier this week he is leaving Baton Rouge and has yet to officially enter. A range of SEC schools are interested, but finding the right fit will be important for CJ Daniels. Keep an eye on Florida and South Carolina, two programs with impressive young quarterbacks.

Texas Tech WR Micah Hudson

Sources confirmed to On3 on Wednesday that Ohio State is not in play for Micah Hudson, barring a change to the Buckeyes’ wide receiver room. An early school to watch will be LSU, who is losing CJ Daniels.

Indiana WR Donaven McCulley

On3’s Steve Wiltfong and I put predictions in last week for Donaven McCulley to land at Michigan. A source tells On3 that the Indiana transfer is working on scheduling a visit to Oklahoma.

Liberty QB Kaidon Salter

Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter has yet to officially enter the transfer portal, but early schools to watch include Syracuse, Indiana, Auburn and Vanderbilt, sources have indicated.

Northwestern OL Josh Thompson

Northwestern right tackle Josh Thompson is expected to be one of the most sought-after transfer offensive linemen. The 6-foot-5, 301-pound offensive lineman was the No. 2 guard in the Big Ten in 2024 per PFF. Early schools expressing interest include LSU and Texas Tech.

FAU S CJ Heard

Since entering the transfer portal earlier this week, FAU safety CJ Heard has been in contact with Colorado, Houston, Miami, Georgia Tech and SMU, among others, a source tells On3.

Liberty OL Jordan White

A source tells On3 that Michigan will host Liberty transfer offensive lineman Jordan White on Dec. 11. South Carolina and Vanderbilt are also making a push for visits, and Miami is expected to be in the mix.

Interesting. Miami and Fsu are conspicuously absent from those updates. Two schools who are expected to spend liberally on Portal transfers.

We have question marks on potential staff changes to both sides of the ball (Dawson might get a head coaching gig + Guidry might get the axe). Fsu, on the other hand, moved quickly to have their coordinators in place to hopefully take advantage of the Portal.

I’m not reading too much into it but it’s worth noting.

Maybe our kids want to play the bowl then bounce, especially knowing their will be opt outs

FSU did can its coaches a few weeks ago. Which expedited their process. I’d imagine there’s no movement on our staff until we are 100% not in the CFP, which will happen soon enough.
