Nick Saban told the top brass at Bama, "you didn't hirer the best coach, you hired the best recruiter" . Butch Davis has always been questioned as a game day coach but when he brings inthe crazy talent he seems to improve on game day. Jimbo, was being crucified the last few years and lost nearly his entire staff last year and we all said the wheels were falling off.

At he end of the day Golden is an elite reruiter (I define that with consistent top 20 classes) and we will improve. Will we win it all who knows, but in today's day and age talent is the overwhelming factor. Sure you have things like Auburn's turn around to point at but I doubt it had to do with scheme rather just sometimes change brings different results because they had talent.

If we would've kept Teddy Bridgewater do you think we would've been a completely different team? One player would have had us playing in a BCS game guranteed.

Be patient because you have no other choice.

No one thing is "all that matters". Talent alone just isn't going to get us very far.

If talent is all that matters, please explain Ron Zook.

All the talent in the world won't matter if it is not coached up. Coaching and talent are both equally important to winning.

Right. There were absolutely no good coaches surrounding Coker on that staff. All because of the talent.

With all the talent Miami had in 2002, the title game shouldn't have been so close where a bad call decided the game. Coker had the most talented roster in college football history and the team got progressively worse each year.
 
Maybe Elite at recruiting Temple south kids. Diabeetus Gut Golden is basically pure **** at pulling ELITE kids. Besides quan(who couldn't get into his 1st choice ND) who else has this fat **** pulled from out of state hat is ELITE and had offers from elite schools. This ******* guy can't even get the Best kids from south Florida. Take a look at all of the ******* misses Tubby AL has racked up.
