Lies being told

Bigger concern for me is a true freshman dictating a depth chart for at least two years

Henderson ran for 1300 yards as a freshman for OSU and now they’re in the championship game because they went and got Jenkins as well

Did we even get Lyle or did he not want to compete at OSU? Who knows. I don’t like it though even if I think Lyle will be good

Henderson, Judkins and the kid from PSU look like RB1s, Fletcher and Lyle look like RB1s to CIS because they are from Souf Flordah and we “stole” them from OSU…actually stunned Day can coach the natty from the locker…but then again ND isn’t built the right way because their QB can run…😈

D$ already confirmed we aren’t allowed to get a RB1 in the portal or Lyle will leave

I wish I was being sarcastic
I don’t think we need a RB1 Fletcher/Lyle is more than enough for 1500 yards combined. It’s RB3 because of injuries that really worries me because that player will need snaps likely. Allen would have been nice to keep but I get the blocking sucked.

If we go from...

10 wins missing champ game
To
9 wins miss champ game.

What other conclusion is possible?
Yes. Regression in the regular season is what I am saying, but beating that bowl curse would be something.

10 wins with the FIRST overall draft picks, the BEST WR in program history, RB1 gone.

Now we’re going to get BETTER with a hurt QB, no QB1 and a drop off AFTER fletcher? No friggin WAY

Not to mention a MORE difficult schedule

We can win the ACC if CLEMSON is down. But we will get CRUSHED in the CFP
Come on now. Sure, it's extremely unlikely the offense is as good as last year (we were the best offense in the country). But the defense should be much better so overall the team could be just as good as last year. The schedule is indeed tougher -- I'll get you that.

You are in the wrong place for that kind of commentary.

This place has already moved into post season we will coast to a national title conversation…you aren’t allowed to discuss any other reasonable possibility.

I have to admit, I used to tell myself the same things for nearly 2 decades. Truth is if we can get an upgrade at any position we should do so. We needed to be as loaded as possible, period. Gotta keep our eyes on the prize 🏆

I think I'll keep my mouth shut again. I've seen this offseason bravado before and most of the dudes grabbing their ****s will be the same ones tearing Mario and Miami down in the very first game day thread. Best thing to do is keep an even keel, you overload too much on one side, the boat will tip and you'll end up all wet in the water.

This happens everywhere in the country.

Blue-chip recruits expect to play after a couple years. Especially when they show flashes. It's just the reality of college football. The Henderson/Judkins example falls flat because Lyle is already going to split carries with Fletcher.

I think we need another RB, but it's more realistic that we get a less-proven RB who wants to upgrade his OL. If disaster strikes and one of the two gets injured in spring, I'd expect the plans to change.

"Miami fans overrate South Florida RBs."

We need to be more discerning like Ohio State...who tried desperately to sign our two South Florida backs, and just took a lesser South Florida back (CJ Donaldson) in the Portal.

This is a strange post.

Henderson and Judkins are RB1s. Fletcher and Lyles are not yet on that level. Period.

Miami needs legit RB1s.

I think we will win 10/11 games this year (including the post season),

I think 10-2 or 9-3 is on the table for the regular season

I would feel great about the ACC championship game but Clemson is going to be much better than they were this year, and our ACC slate will be harder this year
Miami has Carson DAW GAWD...16-0

You’re speaking just broadly enough to get away with it

IDGAF about broad statements about the landscape of football

I care very much about a true freshman running back dictating what we do for the next two years when he shouldn’t have that kind of leverage

Nobody is saying they are on that level. Henderson and Judkins are the best duo in the nation and are proven.

You're saying CIS only feels good about Lyle and Fletcher (both top 10 backs nationally as recruits) because they're from South Florida. That's wrong, and the Ohio State example was silly because that same school wanted both of our guys badly.

It's our choice. We can recruit a RB1 in the Portal if we want. Mekhi Hughes wasn't realistic due to his family ties to Oregon, but we could've thrown big money at someone like Justice Haynes or CJ Donaldson.

The staff decided to roll with a cheaper, younger back. The money we didn't spend on a rental RB went to a starting QB and a new secondary. That allocation makes sense to me.
