People *****in bout how we don't have a #1 receiver, but i'm alright with havin 5 or 6 #2 receivers as long as morris can spread the ball around we all good. That's most important. If he spreads the ball around to all playmakers, keeps the defense on their toes and we got plenty of room to make plays.

Santana also ran really smooth routes. Kermit is a little sloppy in his breaks. Either way, good looking player and I would take him over Strong but not Coley

As I said before, it may not be an "either-or." We could take Strong and count him toward 2012, I think, since he's a juco (if he comes next month. Maybe even if he comes in June.) Whitfleid and Coley would be 2013. We might be able to take all 3. Coley is the best receiver in the state and Whitfield has rare speed.

No way Roscoe gets picked where he does by the Bills if he was running high 4.4's.

Yeah, he had a faster 40 than John Capel, who was supposed to be a world class sprinter. I didn't realize how seriously fast DVD was. I knew he had the best 40 his year at the combine, but I skimmed through all the DBs and WRs since 1999 and I think he had the fastest time ever: 4.25. DVD had to be one of the fastest players in the history of college football. Did he ever run track at Miami?

Agreed. What protypical #1 receiver does Brady have? He has Wes Welker, who is the size of a gnat, and Gronk (Beau Sandland). I think Fisch will have a great scheme for whomever he has.

I think you guys are misunderstanding the discussion, well at least how it started. At least from my POV I'm not "*****ing" at all just pointing out that between our QB and OC I think we made a question mark unit into a **** good one. That's a good thing. Now we start bringing in elite-type pass catchers like Sandland and Coley and you start to see how great the potential is there.

And this is why the Patriots generally lose in the playoffs. Out-scheming the opposition is not a formula for winning championships. Better personnel is a formula for winning championships.

I agree with Jerzey...that chit only gets you so far on any level. Need to have talent that can carry you on offense. Ask Philbin how that formula is working out with the Dolphins. We don't need a number one wr........LOL at cats like Hartline and Bess.

VCR was fast in gym shorts. On the football field, he played slow. 4.25 in gym shorts; 4.65 in pads.

His 3 super bowl rings would disagree. Wasn't a #1 on any of those teams. Don't get me wrong, I want a #1 type receiver, but that position is the least of our problems. I wish Lockhart wouldn't have gotten hurt cuz he might be the guy that we all want to make the big plays. I think we do have a #1 on the roster, but they just have to mature a bit.

Point to another Bill Belicheck in any sport and I'll agree with you.

does DVD go down as one of the biggest busts in UM history?

What Larry Brown did with the Pistons in 04 was pretty similar. Bunch of good players but no superstar.
