Let's Talk Malcolm Lewis

i think our coaches are very, very reluctant to giving minutes to injured/recovering players.

He probably should have redshirted this year, but hoping he comes back and tears it up for two years and makes some real bank. Kid sure deserves it purely based on character.

no one can speak with certainty of an NFL future but the young man looked promising in his short time before the injury, he was making plays as a true freshman. its tough to make predictions on recovery not many guys ever have a freak injury like that occur

What plays? LOL
He showed good run after catch ability and speed in his first college game and was getting open and showing more promise against gt before the injury. I dont know how much more you expect from a guy who played like 3 games as a true freshman

Lewis seemed like a solid possession receiver before his injury. The kinda guy who doesnt get a lot of catches but when he does hes converting 3rd downs and ****.

Nothing more than that.

Kid was more than a possession receiver. He can/could make people miss and take it to the house. That's why I hope he gets 100% because he can make big plays

BASED OFF WHAT?????

When have you seen him do that? LOL

Did you guys go to the Larry Blustein school of talent evaluation?

He had 8 catches with an average of like 9 YPC. How much could he possibly have shown? LOL

Yea we only saw him for a bit but he looked shifty in that time. Obviously can't point to numbers and I do think it's overreaching to say he was destined for the pros, but **** kid had a huge injury no need to bash him like some in this thread. People like a comeback story and crazier things have happened.

This!!! From when I seem him play he was a solid possession kid who had a little bit of wiggle... Our fans are exaggerating his performance... He was never a burner... He was supposed to be a good route runner and had hands... He didn't play much but he caught the ball well... I don't know about a high pick... I never saw that...

Lewis is 1000% now. If you noticed, the last few games he no longer taped his ankle.

His ankle use to be so heavily taped prior to the last two games.

I was like wow, Lewis has dropped the tape which is a great sign.

He looked explosive in practice. Morris just never spread the ball around.

I think Malcolm is fine just think he need more opportunities! I hate when they put on the field when we go big and bring in 2 TEs and a FB. ****ed me off lol. Wish Golden would have a depth chart for the WRs! Like for example:

X: Rayshawn Scott D'Mauri Jones, Garret Kid , David Njoku, Darrel Langham
Z: Stacy Coley , Herb Waters
Y: Phillip Dorsett , Malcolm Lewis , Braxton Berrios

Wildcat Defense must have missed the BC opener. It's only one game but he showed promise for a kid playing his first college game

Was having a good freshman season leading up to the injury. Showed some nice burst off the line and looked smooth out of his breaks. Didn't he have a TD or 2 in that first game vs BC? I know he 1 for sure off a bubble screen.

Lets hope he can return to pre-injury form.

did you watch the boston college game? again, he was injured 3 or 4 games in to his true freshman season i didnt say he put up calvin johnson numbers just that he showed some promise, why do you type LOL after every response? seems like something personal with you when it comes to this kid

I don't know about high pick or future nfl 1st rounder, but, the kid displayed some flashes of being a pretty **** good wr here. looked to be having a good freshman year and think he could have had a huge transition to his soph year.

I don't know if he was a burner then, but, he showed plenty more than being just a possession wr.
