My guess.. 1. He wants to play RB 2. He is doing his Homework and knows that there are 3 studs in class before him and they may have to wait to get on the field..so he will to wait that much longer...UF needs LBs right now...These kids want to play.. And they will go where they can play early...He knows Shaq and Mike played against Shaq in a camp setting... He know what they are capable of...We did the same thing UF AU UGA UM MICH were Shaq's choices cause they had the biggest need...Bama has 5* backing up 5*...OSU has a stud fresh. 5*..its a business for the school and the kids alike

Great perspective. Sounds like a business decision.

Gotta say I'm surprised. I really liked the kid for his speed and toughness. But I'll over joyed if we can get F'gan, Wilder, Miller and Steed. **** that'll be a platinum haul.

Frank Gore committed here when Willis Mcgahee was 3rd string behind Portis and James Jackson... But, as Butch said, one of the main characteristics he looked for is a player not caring about who was infront of him.

B.B.B hypothetically. ..you have a son and he is a pretty good RB and he loves Metro U...but Metro U already have the top three RBs in the Nation committed in the same class...how do you advise your son?

if my son is the one of the best rbs in the country and he wants to go to metro u, i tell him to go to metro u and take the spot.

**** man every recruit I actually like decommits and plays else where

Lawson

Nkosi

Now this kid.

Lawson would have reshirted last year here and be a backup for at least this year... he played 4 games for VT and can start this year.
Lawson has already seen the field for the Hokies. However, his time has been very limited. Against Furman, Lawson came into the game for a little more than 10 plays. He threw the ball seven times, completing three passes for 51 yards. He also rushed nine times for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Despite a solid but small debut, Lawson saw less playing time in the Hokies' following game against Purdue. He attempted just one pass, which was incomplete, and rushed four times for zero yards. He hasn’t seen the field since.

Nkosi May not want to wait behind Kaya and Jack next year.
Kearney like UKnowWhat mentioned may not like the 3 guys in front of him and all the guys we are offering.

The good news is that we have studs at all these position currently and committed.

Man, if someone ever said this but you, it'd be a bloodbath. We'd see people saying you could take your scared of competition kid a **** off. How positions are earned and not given, etc.

It's always been funny to me with people talking out of both sides of their mouth. When we're thin at a position, posters say how there's immediate playing time and it's a plus. When we have depth or someone heads elsewhere where they'll get playing time, they're scared to compete.

Fans forget that a lot of recruits look at this as a business decision. Even with Golden as our coach, people would ***** at all the recruits we'd miss, but in the same breath say they wouldn't send their kid here with him as the coach.

Good job at looking at everything and luckily we got rid of Golden in time for your son to arrive. I can't help but wonder where he'd be if Golden had been miraculously retained.
