Dont fret my friend. The prophet only speaks the truth. Be patient and ye shall prosper

Gonna call you Elijah Mohammed, sir. Let this be

BTW, in speaking to Alonzo in the past, he did express concerns about the inner workings of the program. I take this as a good sign, this isn't about just restoring the past, but moving into modern day football

He knows which college programs are being run at the highest levels

"He said, 'We were living off our past,' " Highsmith says. "That's what we're doing at Miami. We're living off the past. How are we going to move ahead?"

"Sometimes I think maybe the administration doesn't want football to get back to the national brand,'' he said. "We're where we want to be academically, climbing higher and higher. We don't want football to be at the forefront. Let's give them the minimal amount to play and put them in [Sun Life Stadium] on Saturday.

As long as Manny answers to Highsmith and not the other way around. I highly doubt he would agree to answering to Manny, so I am hopeful.

Tosh Lupoi is a recruiting machine.....

if we want to compete with the big boys, this is exactly the kind if hire we need to make. If we got to keep Manny, let him take over the d, but hire Raymond as the DC. If Zo is going to be the CEO,Manny needs to earn his check and take over the D again. Fire Blake, Banda, Rumph, Stroud, hire Raymond, Tosh, and Reed and watch the quality of recruits we land.

It's fantastic that it isn't just a token alum to satisfy the masses hire. It's a guy with 8 years of working in NFL front offices evaluating personnel and being surrounded by NFL leaders AND someone who played and loves it here.

At the bare minimum, it's a much better person to be in charge and run the football department than Blake James.

Exactly. It's great that he's an alum but ya gotta be qualified. Maybe he's no AD, but he's more than qualified to run the football program.

Wonder if he would be the one who find opponents for future games so we can stop with that crap James was doing
