....are you happy Ole Miss won? You know A&M winning is better for us right?
Better for what exactly?

We’re not going to the playoff. Doesn’t really matter to me too much imo, if we’re actually in a position to argue about resumes, then I’d care, yes. But we’re not, and no one is going to say A&M is a marquee win anymore. Wouldn’t have changed even if they won.

So you know it is still better for us lol. That's why I wanted A&M to win, it's not complicated.

I don't care about A&M - and even less about Ole Miss otherwise.

His RBs eat as well. Plus he’s recruiting at Ole Miss. You have to take that into account. If he was at Miami, I believe he would be recruiting like he was at USC with top 10 and five classes.
Yea i understand why people wanted him but I want us to be superior. I want the best OL and DL and attract everyone else off that like the elites have done. I feel like that formula is key to dominating. USC he was recruiting well cause the hype and media surrounding that at that time was a big deal. I still think he isn’t that good of a recruiter on the defensive side and on the OL. I mean MC took CJ from him, he basically convinced a savage to play bro style instead of going to Ole Miss. that’s elite to do that in itself.

So a coach that’s not a program builder and inconsistent from year to year. This is not a Mario conversation, he has his own set of issues.
Ole Miss was 6-6, 5-7, 4-8 the 3 years before. See the trend. In his first year which was COVID he improved their previous years record in less games (wish Mario could say the same about his first year here). Then won 10 games the next year and now is 8-1. Looks like a program builder to me. Also his one year at UT he won 2 more games than the previous year. By the way it took UT 5 seasons to match that season win total after he left.

For all the crap Taggart got he took a 4-8 team and in his only year went 7-5. It’s not like Mario took over a team that was on a down trend.

No one will say beating A&M is a marquee win, but you can’t convince me that if Weigman never got injured they wouldn’t have lost another game after us. Johnson is horrible and they’re barely losing these games against Tenn, Bama and Miss.

Lol....that was 5 or 6 schollies....in no way was that crippling....

You can’t compare both because the sanctions when Butch was there were ridiculous. But the 2011 to 2014 sanctions were not very good for us. And they hurt recruiting pretty badly, and we were already behind the eight ball having an idiot coach like Folden.

6 schollies...that's it...what hurt us more was the Cloud that followed up until the decision.

I don’t remember the schollies, I honestly thought it was more than that maybe someone can actually look up the number over the three years, but for at least three years that cloud was hurting recruiting badly.
