Not a need for our roster, but it's the principle of an elite talent going to a team we are currently chasing that bothers me.

Claiming to be Clemson's ambassador. Keep tabs on him, but we shouldn't waste to many resources on him IMO.

It's still a long way from NSD, BUT hey we should already know, Miami won't get them all (local studs).. Maybe this why Stevenson transferred from South Dade (he knew Ladson wasn't going to Miami) SO he didn't want to play with him and probably figured it would be best to play against him!!
She we need Stevenson but if it goes down to NSD expect UGA and Bama to get involved hard late.

I don't think the coaches will stop recruiting him. A flip down the road is still possible. If he did it once, he can certainly do it again.

Also what’s this BS about taking care of him at 34? That is what we are known for not clemson. His reasoning for going there is pretty much the best reason to come to Miami he’s completely brainwashed

Whatever financial needs he may have, they promised Im sure. Pretty sure he will be well taken care of before 20 as well. LOL

Every program has some alumni involvement, nobody to our level though, not even close. I'll buy that maybe he was enamored with how well they beat us last year and "maybe" wanting to play with that QB....but I'm not buying the long time alumni connection dream of a team who was barely relevant until the program decided to hire Sweeney the insurance man and toss the recruiting rule book into Keowee.

it really is people r hella racist here

My hometown is Easley, right next Clemson and Greenville. 100% true about black people in Greenville. Hella ignored out there. Clemson has a pretty campus, but it's in a town with literally nothing to do. You got your choice of 2 or 3 bars and that's it. Kids drive 30 mins to greenville just to go to the movies. Not to mention I don't understand why any black kid would go to a school with buildings named after slave owners and historic racists that worked vehemently to keep black people enslaved.

Wanting to play with that QB is everything! Ladson wants to go to a place where he figures he will have someone decent to throw him the ball. The Canes haven't proven that "that guy" is on the roster. If we play Malik all of next season, we have got no shot with Ladson. If Perry or Williams play and prove that they are "that guy" then you may be able to get him to reconsider. In the grand scheme of things, a Ladson miss isn't that big of a deal because of the talent the Canes have at that position already.

I see what you're trying to say. However, Lawrence is one of the reasons that Ladson committed to Clemson...but Lawrence hasn't played a down yet and he might even redshirt this year. So your point is moot.

All the talk of package deal through the years, can anyone name a couple recruits that actually ended up being package deals?

I understand what you are trying to say and completely agree with you but remember that we are talking about a 17 year old kid who has probably bought into the Lawrence BS hype.

I don't think they've ever said they want to go to the same school or that they are a package deal. To get ladson back we are gonna have to win mom over, she loves dabo. Stevenson either us or UF.
Honestly feel both beat to their own drum. They have mentioned before about playing together but I don’t think it’s a for sure thing. They’ve also talked about what’s doing best for them.

I still think Stevenson chooses Miami. They are gonna recruit Ladson till the end regardless.

Keep recruiting this young man while looking at all possible options. This is business, keep the ******* emotion out of it.

Son these new age boys wouldn't care if their great great grand daddy was lynched on a tree in campus. You sell them a dream and givem some athletic apparel and they will justify their decision. That fact might as well be erased from history. Shame "all" the SEC schools in states that openly and actively promote policies that are directed at minorities.

Having been to Tuscaloosa and Clemson, SC. I can understand how kids want to play at Alabama but Clemson not at all. If you look at Dabo’s comments on paying players and the Kaepernick/MLK debacle it makes me wonder how much parents/kids really do their research in recruiting.

A Homestead kid that chooses to go to school in South Carolina? Something is wrong with this picture.

@Brooklyndee said it weeks ago. Momma want him in Clemson. Time to move on.

Kids love playground equipment and bunk beds.
