Kid has been making some headlines lately at practices. Word on the skreet he's the leader in the clubhouse for a starting boundary corner gig come opening weekend.

What kind of expectations do ya'll have for this cat?

anythings better than mike Williams





edit/ I think he will do well long arms seems to be a hard worker and gained some experience already from the JUCO ranks
 
Nobody here has ever seen him play a down of football at any level. He, like every freshman we keep hearing good things about, is a complete unknown commodity. **** he could be worse than Mike Williams for all we know.

I see him holding that starting position for the remainder of the time he is a hurricane... just think he is that solid just need guys like McGee to graduate and move on.
 
It is an insult to compare him to mike Williams. He will be a very good corner here. He has been impressive

Good question.

I think a lot of us were tilting our heads a bit when we got him but willing to cut Golden some slack. Kid sounds ready.

It sounds like Gunter and Howard are both set to **** a lot of receivers off this year. I expect Gunter to play a lot more than McGee.
 
Ill wait till i see him play live first..i know its the pre season and all but people were saying the same thing about our corners at greentree last year..you guys have short memories

being better than mcgee and a true freshman isnt saying much

where was this? Have to be real delusional to be hyping up a CB group of Mike Williams (reserve at Wake Forest), Chambers (RB year before), McGee (barely played first 2 years), and Finnie (Fr.)

I think you have selective memory. Noone (sane anyway) talked up our corners at all. Agreed that beating out McGee isn't a feat, just saying I think he and Crawford will play a lot as first year guys.

High hopes. He's going to be the default #1 CB and will draw the hardest assignments to start the season. Its basically up to him to give the D-line/blitzer that extra 2 seconds to get to the QB, so we need him to be good right away.

Last year people were clamoring how mike williams ran a 4.3 and was a senior and how he started at wake forest as a freshman/sophmore and got a raw deal.. I remember.. Lee Chambers was considered physical and very good against the run..
