Kyron Drones as a potential option (not in portal)

Kid on the west coast with a ton of talent but his team lost a bunch of games, he turned the ball over a ton, was trying to do too much because his OL sucked and he was running for his life. Had some decent weapons but couldn’t put it all together. Likely a middle round pick, or worse. Left there and went to a team with a kick-*** offensive line who gave him all sorts of time to throw, with some good backs and receivers and a coach who fit his skill set. Was gonna guess General Booty, but I’m not sure he was ever on the west coast.

I never comment on here but I am confused on how you believe Drones is available. Everything out of VT and him is he is returning to the team for 2025. I’d assume he signed is $$$ deal & the portal has closed (wait they just played so scratch that). Back to original. $$$$

If I were VTech I'd fire Pry after this and try to hire Golden.

Watson stunk. Only other QB they have besides Drones next year is Vitor Belfort's kid from Western. Yikes

He’s available for five days. These aren’t contracts or binding.

I'm comparing him to any average starting QB which you and i know he is not and Emory is nowhere close to being. Drones would've been maybe the 15th best QB in the portal.

Mario's ****ed around all portal season and has killed al momentum this 10 win season should have brought him in a less than a month. Putting all his hope in QB that grew up about 2 hours from OU and had just hired his OC and QB coach, then had Mendoza a columbus HS alum with a direct connection to Mario fall into his lap and couldn't even get him on a visit.

I want to beleive in this program but every day makes it more difficult.

okay well are those 15 qb's already taken? I mean if we just want to ***** and moan then that's fine but it doesn't mean we can't talk about getting what is still realistically possible

I mean Drones already re upped with VT's NIL and said he was coming back next year

Yeah - maybe that means he’s happy and locked in - still think it’s fair to speculate with his relationship with ward
