Is beck really on nfl radars? I’ve watched zero UGA this year
Hmmmmm..........seems as though it's heading toward legalized extortion.Isn't it great that colleges now have an opportunity to keep kids who otherwise would have just left for the draft?
Like you said, it would be financially irresponsible not to gauge other options.Yes he is.
And this is exactly what I said in that Rhule thread. Beck is entering the portal without entering the portal. And he’d be dumb not to. This is what everyone wanted. Well, it’s here now. So if I was his dad, you bet your *** I’d be sitting in Kirby’s office saying “my son has options. We’d obviously love to stay here, we love you and the program and are grateful for everything. But this is a business. So if you’d like to keep Carson here next year, it’s going to cost you $2.5M. I have already spoken with 3 coaches who have offered him that amount plus his agent believes he can be a late day two pick this year. So if you can give us that amount, we’ll be back. Otherwise I have to explore other options. As a man who has done the same throughout his career, I’m sure you understand, coach.”
I’m not going to criticize the NCAA because I’m not smart enough to figure out a way to do this better than they have. And I believe, obviously, the kids should be compensated for putting a product on the field that TV networks pay BILLIONS for. But what this has morphed into ******* sucks. Maybe it’s the literal only way, again I’m not smart enough to know. But the current landscape is broken.
Well, he does make the rhules...Rhule wasn’t wrong
This right here…This **** is a business, cfb has the most emotional fans but they gon have to learn its no hard feelings with this **** kids just tryna maximize their window man football dont last forever for everyone and u might not be getting a shot in the league so u would be dumb to not get every dime nowLike you said, it would be financially irresponsible not to gauge other options.
Not sure how to stop an open market like this, but it’s a free-for-all. Keeping players will considerably bite into allocated NIL across all programs.
yeah you could see this comingLike you said, it would be financially irresponsible not to gauge other options.

NCAA saw this coming years ago and did nothing about it.Yes he is.

The solution is a collective bargaining agreement with players. A huge hurdle, but one that would solve the issue. Colleges and players could adhere to a NIL/compensation salary cap. Smaller colleges would mandate that this time around, there would be no wink winks at bags. Transfers could take place, but after the third year.Yes he is.

Probably where we are headed, but not sure how you stop the bags. Too much dirty money. The solution is a collective bargaining agreement with players. A huge hurdle, but one that would solve the issue. Colleges and players could adhere to a NIL/compensation salary cap. Again, huge hurdle but you need the players to collectively bargain.
If another company offers me a huge salary increase, giving my current employer the opportunity to match it or beat it is considered fair business practice.Hmmmmm..........seems as though it's heading toward legalized extortion.
