Juwon Young Hype Train

4th play of his highlight film is him standing up tall right out out of his stance and loafing in coverage, gambling and getting lucky with a strip. The rest of the film reveals nothing but technical flaws, a low motor and pedestrian defensive plays. I'll pass.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't worry much about technique in high school film. That's why you pay coaches six-figure salaries. Anthony Barr didn't even play LB until he was a junior in college, and he will be the first linebacker picked in the NFL Draft.

Twitch and violence. That's what I'm into.

I have seen him play against Dougherty and Westover. He played both ways and he was the best player on the field.Albany high plays in a small school region ,so the competition isn't as good as the big boys in Georgia Colquitt, Valdosta or schools like ,Lowndes but this kid is a good player!!! Every time he left the field on defense against Westover the Patriots offense rolled. I think he can be the type of mlb we haven't had in a long time.

Vic Beasley played single A football in the middle of nowhere and he turned out ok.

LOL. Good stuff.

Big, short area burst and takes good angles.

Everything we haven't had at LB since god knows when

I give zero ***** about standing up, being raw and roaming at this point.

We've had some of those skills here. Whether they've been used correctly or not is another question. Kirby's video and skill set (as a general rating) was at least as impressive. Not as big, but very impressive coming in. He's now played two years and spent this last one curiously behind a player who didn't exactly light the world on fire.

Said it a bunch of times but you can tell Kirby has no idea what he is doing out there. That athleticism he displayed in high school doesnt just go away because he put on weight. He looks clueless and clearly doesn't let it fly yet. Fingers crossed.

You're not really in the minority. It's just stuff to consider in the breakdown and discussion of a player. Especially because it will make a difference in his fit here and how quickly he develops. Hence, the mention of Kirby.

The kid loves contact and comes with ill will. I see a better use at FB because well you know what I think of this defensive staff. Hence we need to score more. Can you imagine him lead blocking for Duke.

I am unimpressed with the film. He doesn't appear overly dynamic as a linebacker. I'm worried he's a classic tweener, which some staffs can utilize well but which this staff hasn't done effectively at all. We'll see.

EXACTLY...but he flashed when it was stuff with low amount of thinking..still remember him being sent on blitzes as a fresh at nd...and he chases down stuff pretty good.

simplify stuff or as he gets experience his athleticism will come back..u can literally see Kirby thinking while plyaing w hich is probabbly the only reason he didnt start...because he is athleticas as **** from what ive seen.

Personally, I've seen so much indecision/confusion out of our defense that it's hard for me to predict or get excited about how any one player transitions into it in its current form. I guess that might be a threadjack but it's my perspective on the situation.

this. doesnt matter who we bring in as long as F.A.G is here
