no its the defense. Look at the kids we recruited for most part. stubbs took the bag but hanks, Pickett, nix, have dads who know football and saw what our defense looked like.

Syracuse and GT coaching staffs would like a word. Lol we're either have to out coach or out athlete teams in conference.

But yeah, we should be beating the breaks off teams in the ACC.

Toney got big offers from UF and Oregon today and still signed. Moore got a huge offer from UF on Sunday and still signed.
its a defense issues. parents like nix, hanks, Pickett are not sending their kids to play in this defense.
 
Negative recruiting, shortfall defense and $$NIL$$ - we lost 2 but we keep improving over past years. Granted we need to fill holes from the portal -most teams do! Let's hope Mario can snag some talent there and fix our defense (players and coach?).

Because we lost 2 of 3 and missed the playoffs. And because we recruited a top 15 class with ten wins and now are concerned heading into next year.

We all know the defense is terrible but the ultimate accountability for that defense falls on Mario, not Guidry.

A decision to move on and maintain a standard could have and should have been delivered weeks ago, if the “CEO” of the program was capable of taking decisive action. As of now, Mario has not proven he can take decisive action to the benefit of the program.

Bad idea to not be willing to pay the suck tax. Biggest difference between this year and last year is UM was throwing more money around, this year it set NIL values on recruits, if they wanted more Cristobal decided he’d get better value in the portal. Look if this was 2017 or 2018 I think we’d have a top 5 class even with Guidry. That’s when recruiting prowess made a big difference. All that matters now is money, recruiting is more about not showing your *** and giving a recruit a reason to go elsewhere than it is trying to convince him the program is trending up.
