I realize you bleed a little more orange and green than a lot of us with you being a former player. Obviously you’re going to side with your teammates always. Which is what you should do. However, just keeping **** real let’s not act like Freeze and Kiffen are not great coaches and Mario still has that Middle Tennessee *** whipping at home hanging around his neck. At the end of the day I just want us back on top. Hopefully Mario did a better job with these assistant hires.

I’m with ya brother. I mean as much as we can bicker and ***** at eachother on these boards I know that end of the day all we all want is to be excited and watch us win games. We wouldn’t still all be posting here if we didn’t (Nole moles excluded of course)

Big picture we are also seeing some pretty big shifts in college football in general so it’s kind of tough to see exactly where we fit just yet

The one thing I feel good about though is we’ve got a coach that’s going to get more resources and more support for longer periods of time from the administration than probably anyone else we’ve ever had. Mario will execute his plan and I think he’s a good enough coach to get us back in the game. Where his ceiling is as far as championships…I don’t know…but I really will be cheering my *** off when the season starts as always

That's where y'all get confused though. The fact I bleed orange & green is a given. However I'm no fool. I have several issues with Mario from last season, few of which are ones y'all know or would acknowledge. To act like he didn't assemble a top notch staff even last season #1 isn't accurate. Individually it was a monster staff. Collectively the egos of quite a few of them collided. His job isn't to consult the players on the roster to make his hires especially considering we all knew the vast majority of that roster wouldn't be around much longer. We actually experienced less turn over then we wanted last season but is what it is. People can mention gattis right and left and to an extent the critique is fair. But everything imaginable went wrong last season. That's not all on coaches. #2 you all keep bringing up kiffin & now freeze like they're superstars. Guess what... They're not. They're both average at best as HEAD COACHES. Both would be perfectly fine as ocs but that is it... As head coaches not only are both blatant failures but they'd also get us the death penalty. Neither of them have achieved what Mario did. Yet y'all steady wanna take what Mario has done and throw it away. Fine then. Y'all do that. But all this dumb **** about this trash all it shows me is exactly why we've all told each other for years don't never get into football conversations with fans. 9 out of 10 got no clue what's really going on not only behind closed doors but far more importantly on the field either... When I actually bother to read through some of these threads I just shake my head with the rationale people come up with. ***** honestly just sad. But y'all wanna talk about mtsu in year one... Okay then why not mention freeze multiple years in just last season. How bout kiffin over and over at multiple spots not just year 1. I honestly just hope most of y'all run off before we get all of this fixed. Cause it's tiresome constantly listening to dudes who got nothing to do with us beyond a website and a TV just *****ing over and over. If that's what it is I'll just stick to these lame *** tour managers and the various ways they try to justify their artists budget and expenses.

How has Mario not reached or dare I say, exceeded expectations as a recruiter ? His first class was insane considering the short amount of time he did it in. His 2nd class was top 7 or 8 (top 5 of Cormani doesn’t bounce). Transfer portal has been pretty freaking good, too. Now, if anyone is going to discredit his recruiting because of the current class in the month of July then be my guest. I’ll wait until signing day before I judge this class. Lol.

Anyone complaining about recruiting either has unrealistic expectations or other agendas.

Glad you brought up the portal. I thought Mario did the wise thing and showed some restraint when it came to over extending for some guys that were playing games

I don’t know full details but I think he went out and signed quite a few quality starters and there’s a few guys that I can’t wait to see this Fall

I’m not giving up on Mario just yet. I was simply stating that both Kiffen and Freeze have been very successful. All coaches have lost some bad games. Saban lost to La Monroe first year. Hopefully Mario has the same trajectory afterwards. I believe all of us want Mario to do well. He’s actually went to battle for us on the field. I agree that everything that could have went wrong did last year with coaches not meshing and had terrible luck with injuries. Although, again just keeping everything a buck Mario is not known for his X’s and O’s. He’s known for his recruiting and culture of toughness while the other two are known for their offensive minds. We’re not killing it in recruiting right now so that I believe opens up Mario to a little more scrutiny also.

It has to do with what FSU is doing that I think is irritating fans. We should be right up there. But we will see. Had a nice run to get back into the top 15 now we will see
