When Gattis is still here after the bowl games then the next explanation will be “NFL playoffs” as we try to convince ourselves that Gattis is leaving, despite what to this point has been no evidence that that is happening.

I was on board that hes gone but listening to mike Ryan give quotes about the staffers are ready to get the offseason program going vs bowl practices was a red flag for me. you dont need to finalize a hire if the guy is still coaching but PR wise, keeping a failure in place even for optics didnt help recruiting at all at WR nor QB.
