He gone!

Because everyone involved, including Gattis, is professional.
I’d expect Gattis to be recruiting because he is still the OC.

My point is that even though our guys are so smart they can’t keep him, we still have him. It makes zero ******* sense at this point. Hope I am wrong and it comes together.

In what world does an operations manager find out during a campaign (our season in November) that they are losing their job (because their performance and people skills are dog****) in the near future (before the 2023 season) but maintain current responsibilities (OC/play caller) and be a part of foundational projects (post season recruiting) of the future?

According to some genius on another thread, “no one cares who the Miami OC is”.

Just look at how many butts you will see in seats. Then you’ll realize who cares.

Fans care about following a winning team. They couldn't care less who the OC is.

Plus there's this... Apparently we hired a guy that many people "inside" knew wouldn't be a great success here.
Probably much harder to get a job when you have that reputation and then the on field results he had this year.

He's going to have to take a bigger step down than he thought. But it's still better than getting fired.
Nah, eff that. Fire his *** already.
He can bet on himself but not on our dime.

Don't get me wrong, I get why ppl are ****ed and frustrated, GattAss should've been gone already. I want the mfer gone before yesterday, I wanted him gone in-season. ****, I hated the hire. Me and my guy @Memnon aka the Artist formerly known as LCE talked about how much we hated the hire.

But coming and spamming the board about how much we hate GattAss doesn't do anything but frustrate ppl and maudes and the admins on here.

But what can you do when 2 weeks has passed and the mfer is still here?

I get the frustration, because I'm tired of that sugar free milk dud face *** bum. He shouldn't have been here in the first place.

we can't be the program that has cash and we will spend and then not afford a buyout for a coach w reportedly one year left. if you couldn't afford the expensive staff, dont hire them for that money.
Exactly. We spent 15 million on buyouts last year and we’re worried about 1 million or a little more After this ****show of a season?

we're all set in our ways. We all want gattis to be gone

but what if mario is stubborn, keeps gattis, and our offense is good next year?

Mario: come get your kid, we are accountable.

Let's Williams commit multiple dumbass personal fouls without accountability.

Let's a guy who should have been fired after the Virginia game continue to coach because apparently firing someone who is incompetent and stealing a check is mean.

Do you have a link to the story revealing that Mario doesn't want to be mean to a coach? Thanks in advance.

I’ve heard this but not from people I get info from. Lots of wild theories flying around these days. What I know is “ dramatic changes to the offense and scheme“. “Changes will be made on both sides of the ball, coaches will leave”. Coaches that are currently still out recruiting.

I’ve also been flat out told from multiple people “ there’s no chance Gattis returns”. They’ve never changed that take. Same person said he’s interviewed for other jobs.
Trouble is, he is as bad at getting a new job as he was at calling plays.

Lmao recruits aren’t dumb. They see and hear all the **** we see and hear. They watched our offense. You think in any skill talent wants to come to play for this offense? Getting rid of the oc would help you more than hurt
I’m a big Mario fan and want him to succeed but anyone not acknowledging that Mario is taking a huge risk by keeping Gattis on until past ESD is fooling themselves. These kids all saw us lose 4 out of the last 6 games in embarrassing fashion. One of those wins was dreadful. There isn’t a single committed recruit tied to him. We also don’t have a lot of traction with any of our remaining offensive skill targets. There’s kids like Dante Moore taking seconds looks and we are nowhere near that conversation, atleast publicly.

We can site all the logic in the world of why he’s still here but these kids live in a world of what’s trending, what’s cool and what excites them. They make Decisions based on emotion. Right now none of that is in our favor with Gattis here. Mario can sit in everyone of these kids living room, be genuine and tell them there’s going to be huge changes. The minute he walks out another recruiter walks in, tells them all the negative shït we already know and then proceeds to show them on tape. He could mitigate that by getting rid of him and selling them on the change thats to come. Right now he doesn't even have that to sell. It may all workout in the end but he's taking a huge risk.

He's been far worse than i could've imagined ( outside recruiting as you said).
Anyone else worried that at some point Ruiz takes his ball and goes home? Since Mario seems to need a stacked roster to accomplish his system.
