Just face the truth… he ain’t going anywhere
I don’t think CJ would be visiting if Gattis was staying. I don’t think he’d consider us again if Gattis was staying.
No mention of Gattis again.
I think they sent him to eat with a WR that’s all but locked up. But again, it’s frustrating that he operates this slowly. It’s been 13 days since Cribby’s thread. I don’t think there’s a single person that’s happy to wait - but don’t confuse patience with incompetence. Gattis and Ponce are not coming back.
god i would hate for the repeat of last year esp when the HC put together a ****** staff.I know the whole talk and chew gum at the same time thing, but it is so important Mario lands his top guys that I'd rather he spend as much time he needs being a savage on the recruiting trail and then focus on the coaching vacancies later. It appears it's been full court press until signing day.
I would suspect he has "someone" reaching out to potential coaching candidates or their agents that currently may be employed to gauge interest so it's not like they are in any rush either.
When you're getting paid multiple millions to recruit up until the last second, that's what you do. I would imagine there's contractual language preventing you from sabotage.honestly we know hes gone. we believe the insiders. the thing no one will explain is him on the road recruiting and meeting our commits if hes fired lol. it doesnt make sense to send a fired OC to help lure commits and lock down recruits. if we didnt have the insiders, to anyone from an objective viewpoint will tell you the staff as a whole is working as if theyre all coming back
lol gattis wasnt exactly recruiting this year. he didnt bring a single recruit in and the only QB he had committed said thank you peace out on him. combine that w what cribby said about the staff as a whole in terms of recruiting, it seems as if only 2-4 guys actually did their job. When you're getting paid multiple millions to recruit up until the last second, that's what you do. True, but if he's getting paid to go eat dinner with commits, then pass the potatoes.lol gattis wasnt exactly recruiting this year. he didnt bring a single recruit in and the only QB he had committed said thank you peace out on him. combine that w what cribby said about the staff as a whole in terms of recruiting, it seems as if only 2-4 guys actually did their job.
lol mario didnt have his guy last year when he took 100 years. he got turned down by multiple candidates and settled on gattis. were not doing this bs again w him. we did it last year and the truth or supposed truth came out. he moves slow. he is slow. anae is off the list fwiw.Believing Dmoney and Cribby until I hear different from them. I mean we’re all on this site for their info so if we can’t believe them why are we even here?
With all these OCs coming off the table and offensive kids like TVD, Arroyo, George not portaling plus kids like CJ coming in on OVs after things seeming bleak, it’s all lining up with Mario already has a guy.
A guy so obsessed with recruiting should know that Gattis killed his offensive recruiting.
Ban bet?Just face the truth… he ain’t going anywhere
Would be real dumb to give a guy on the way out access to one of our most important recruits — or any of our recruits, for that matter — a couple weeks before signing day.
Oh trust me boss man I usually don't post just read on a daily basis and the only thing we have seen is fire Gattis, whose gonna be the new OC and the portal opened Dec 5th why isn't our roster 90% full every other post! You can't beat a dead horse any worse than CISThe turning on Mario part is 100% understood. The repeat vomiting of the same thing in every corner of the two main boards by the drool contingent is the issue for the majority. The majority isn’t slurping anything. People here get it.
yep.Maybe Gattis knows he's gone but he's professional (or if nothing else, self-serving) enough to keep doing his job while he's collecting a UM paycheck and isn't trying to burn any bridges on his way out.
If the man straight up refused to recruit he could probably be fired for cause, and I doubt Mario or anyone at UM would give him their endorsement when a potential future employer calls asking about his past job performance.
Or maybe he's staying, IDK.

mario can do both. its hsi job to do both. if he wants to be a recruiter only, he can become an assistant and give the HC title to someone else. its that simple. he cannot ignore the staff changes bc he cant manage his time well with multiple priorities. again, this is all if what you said is true so its all purely hypo.
Again, D$ never said Gattis was fired. He said the people he talks to around the program are acting like he's gone. Huge difference. None of us know for certain what Mario wants to do. I'm not going to disparage anyone who claims to have "insider" info, but remember when a legit insider (actual CIS staff writer) reported that Major Applewhite was hired as our next OC (until he wasn't)? Sometimes people just get bad info. Sometimes things change. All we know right now at this moment is that Josh Gattis is still the Offensive Coordinator for the University of Miami, and he is apparently still on the recruiting trail.Believing Dmoney and Cribby until I hear different from them.
