I don’t believe Gattis I remember Josh Patke on his show saying Gattis will not be a loss for Michigan and he was only god 1 out of 4 years there lol. Thanks for the info. Here’s to hoping he is let go soon

Instead of yelling at Mario for not parting with Gattis publicly, we should be yelling at Iowa…why they’re taking so long to hire the outstanding human being and generational OC/WR coach that is Josh Gattis, is beyond me.

His process for hiring took forever and that can somewhat be explainable! The product on offense this year and the fact Gattis wasn't fired months ago is unexplainable! I really like Mario but how he's handling Gattis is a huge red flag! There have been a lot of red flags this year and it's like ah he's proven himself let's wait and see! But if he retains Gattis who can blame the "mopes" turn on him! This was supposed to be different finally spent money but so far it's a worse **** show than Manny Shannon Golden.. smh

The turning on Mario part is 100% understood. The repeat vomiting of the same thing in every corner of the two main boards by the drool contingent is the issue for the majority. The majority isn’t slurping anything. People here get it.

Gattis should have been fired during the season for going multiple games without scoring a touchdown. Since that didn't happen it should have been the day after the Pitt game.

I dont think anyone was convinced Manny was back. there was a lot of smoke about Mario all year esp after the Bama game. the only question would have been what happened if Mario said no (obviously he wasn't going to).

for gattis, it makes no sense to keep him here. hes got a 2 year deal. the season is over. he doesn't have a recruit hes actually helped bring here. there are no real WR recruits that are attached to him. I think hes gone solely bc I dont think the QBs come back if gattis is here

Believe the strategy is to give him time to FIND A JOB at another program ... even if it is a $750K position ... that money will be an offset vs his $1.8 mil contract. Hope it's true and hope Mario has HIS guy already lined up.

I get the strategy and am reserving judgment until this is all done. As I said elsewhere, a few people have mentioned that Mario is essentially doing the job of 5 recruiting. It's his own doing, but yea I get why he can't focus on the coaching side if he is trying to lock down this class and finish strong.
