Agree it has cost us, but not so much on the QB side of things. We did have one of the top QB recruits committed and only lost him late in the process because the gators made him an unreal (literally) offer that he and his people stupidly decided to drop us for without considering how legit the offer might be. Even while he was committed we still had a second QB commit of a solid recruit who had other offers and could have gone where he would have been their primary QB recruit.
I don’t know maybe. Bottom line is we didn’t land a top 10 qb. Is Emory a 3 star??? Stars have to matter to some degree in this type of conversation. I think there were opportunities with Dante Moore were we positioned with the right OC. I think with that it could have opened up WR opportunities with ****ey and Innis.

It is my belief that had we dropped Gattis in November or so and replaced him with a @Memnon - approved OC, we have a top 3 or 4 class right now even without Cormani.

All of this but for someone like me that was all in on Mario a year ago, absolutely nothing outside of recruiting has been even halfway good

And I've not argued against that, no matter how many lies crossover tells about me.

But I think that the recruiting is going to pay big dividends, as early as this year. Need to fix the coaching issues immediately. The "game management" will come with time, it took Butch multiple years to get past THAT.

butch wasnt as experienced as mario as an HC though. i think he is what he is as a game manager. a guy coaching as an HC for what? 10 years? maybe slightly less? he is who he is but i dont think thatll stop us from winning big. tons of ****** game managers win. i think hes gotta hit a HR on his coordinator hires to win big

Fair point. I believe Butch had more years of experience "as a coordinator", but I otherwise agree with what you are saying.

I mean come on he’s 50 and been in football for 40 years. Not sure how you have to learn the clock still. I like Mario, knew him personally back in the day, but that’s a stretch. If a fool like me knows it, the $8 million dollar man should know it

If we foot the difference in salary, why doesn't Gattis just take whatever offer is given to him? What does he care he's still getting paid. If Miami fires him he gets paid also. He's pulling a Willie Taggart.
