He was not returning and it wasn’t his decision
Mario sure has a weird way of doing things then. Ponce spent the last 6 weeks recruiting for Miami as if everything was good despite being fired. I'm guessing he never really officially fires people, he tells you to go find another job and then let's the coaches spin it likely their leaving Miami for a new job and it's business as usual until they find a job.

Go look at Ole Miss and their new DC. This goes on a lot in Cfb most fans just don’t pay attention.

Current rural Georgian and loving most of it. Could do less with the pockets of poverty in my town and the occasional meth/pills (narcotics) but the rest of it is great. We eat good out this way.
I grew up in a small town. Really small. Wouldn’t want to live there as an adult, but I absolutely appreciate growing up in the mountains as a kid and get why people do. Give me a medium sized town 30 minutes from a big city. Best of both worlds.

This guy won the Broyles Award. Coached at majorly prestigious programs. Continued to ascend from position coach, to coordinator, etc. I know there were some things at Michigan that were not all roses, but by all accounts, this dude was a rising star in the coaching profession. I read article after article when he was hired about how we'd be lucky to keep him for 2 years, that he's a shoe-in to be a college head coach, raving about his leadership skills, etc.

And he gets here, and in 1 year, he's a complete loser? He walked in the door and became an immediate pulsing malignant tumor with zero tangible skills and completely bombed? How is that even possible? It's not like Mario is the only guy who'd have hired this dude. Again, I read he'd have endless opportunities once he left Michigan, but the allure of Miami (aka the massive contract) pulled him from where he was comfortable and again accelerated his rapidly soaring career. And in 1 year, he's a fraud and a loser and needs to be shot into the sun?

Are we really just this unlucky? Look at the list of Broyles Award winners for the past 10 or so years. They're all HC's, essentially. Pat Narduzzi, Tom Herman, Lincoln Riley, Brent Venables, Tony Elliott, Mike Locksley, Steve Sarkisian. Kirby Smart won it, Gus Malzahn won it. But the guy who we poach off the list is a fraud? How the **** is this possible? How ******* cursed is this program?
I’m not saying this is what happened but the alleged culture of “you can’t fire anyone, you have to make sure you don’t hurt their career” would certainly produce these types of results. That’s why I think it’s so pathetic. You think Mario is being 100% real to other coaches who are asking about him while also trying to shove him out the door? Not likely

I’m glad you did. We have to stick together during these trying times… if we can’t laugh at the expense of Josh Gattis, life isn’t worth living
We have to laugh. The alternative to dealing with Gattis and the season we just went through is too dark for me.

Good news is pretty much all of the last non-believers have come around to realizing Gattis is outta here. Hope is starting to fill the room.

Andy Reid was an OL coach in college, then a TE and QB coach in the NFL. Then OC and HC…

Just stop. You're pushing a bullsh*t narrative and you're either too much of a moron to believe it or you actually think that Mario somehow operates differently than the other 120-ish HC's in America.
