“Justin Herbert deserves a competent head coach for once in his life.

The Chargers blew a 27-0 lead to the Jaguars in the wild card round on Saturday night.

Herbert deserves some of the blame. But he doesn't have a Super Bowl-winning head coach like Trevor Lawrence does.

Since enrolling at the University of Oregon, Herbert's list of head coaches includes: Mark Helfrich (Oregon), Willie Taggart (Oregon), Mario Cristobal (Oregon), Anthony Lynn (Chargers) and currently Brandon Staley (Chargers)."

Look who is on the list of incompetent HCs. Yikes

They immediately lose all credibility by putting Mark Helfrich on the list. Dude had a good offense as a HC, good enough to get promoted to the NFL.

Need to see how far the Bills go in the playoffs. Joe Brady can't leave as long as they are winning.
Waiting for the 49ers season to end.

OC/QB - BrIan Griese
WRC - Leonard Hankerson

Or the Chiefs:

OC/QB - Matt Nagy
WR - David Giradi

#sarcasm

All kidding aside, before his Wonder Year at L$U Joe Brady was an offensive assistant for Sean Payton for two seasons. That’s it.

So what’s the next hope we’re waiting on?? The nfl playoffs to finish up because the OC is on staff with a team? Lol
At this point it’s freaking laughable. All we as fans can do is just wait and see while every decent OC in college football, known to man, are signing deals with other teams. Frustrating as fucc! Announce something gahdamnit!

Understood ... but that LSU season was incredible. The OC brought him in the "modernize the playbook" and the OC said himself "whenever we got into 3rd down and red zone situations I said ...'Joe it's yours' and Brady took over play calling. Result was a dramatic improvement in 3rd down conversions and red zone performance. Same 3 primary WR's as the prior season, same QB, same primary RB's, and offensive production more than doubled.

My point was Brady‘s only meaningful experience was two seasons as an offensive assistant, albeit for Sean Payton. Brady did coach LBs for two seasons at William & Mary, followed by two seasons as a GA at Penn State. FWIW.

In hindsight he may be the greatest assistant hire in L$U history. Yes, the Tiger’s NC offense was spectacular. Didn’t hurt to have a 1st overall pick at QB and 2 first-round picks at WR. All three whom are among the top few at their position in the NFL. Maybe HOF for all three, who knows?

Brady has since been fired as OC from Carolina, and now works with QBs for Bills OC Ken Dorsey. Who many thought wasn’t qualified to be Miami’s OC.

I only brought up Brady’s resume for when someone replies, even in jest to my jesting post, that Brian Griese has almost no experience. Which is true, this is his only season as a coach. A decade long career in the NFL, many years as a starter, may not translate.

I am not advocating for the hire, BTW.

If Mario hired someone with Brady’s pre-L$U resume to assist Gattis this board would melt down, even further.

Yeah that seems pretty far fetched to me. Just guessing like the rest of us but I see three possible outcomes:

1. Gattis is retained
2. Ponce is promoted to OC when Gattis finds a new job
3. Arroyo is hired when Gattis finds a new job

Otherwise I simply cannot understand what Mario is waiting for.
