I would guess Gattis is the only one on offense thats initially let go. New OC comes on board, meets the current position coaches and makes changes as he feels is needed (outside of MIrabal who is untouchable). That would explain the rest of the staffs continued involvement, probably hopping to be retained or continue looking for a new landing spot while collecting a check.

Im beginning to subscribe to this theory and likely why we haven't hosted a single non-OL offensive recruit since the early signing period. It's very possible Mario has been stealthily conducting an OC search and Gattis' departure won't be announced until he finds a new gig or right before the new OC is announced.
