You don’t think that Miami and Mario were in agreement prior to the official announcement? I mean, I understand there’s “tampering” issues involved so he was officially hired in December.

Miami was not sitting there going “oh, I hope Mario takes this job” while not interviewing a single other candidate.
If that was the case then why did they wait so long to fire Manny? Rhetorical question. He was literally plan B if Mario turned us down.

You already speak for thousands. Like I said attendance was down this year, even after season tickets sales skyrocketed. People won’t show up or support the team with that guy calling plays.
Season tickets were up because the FSU game was at home. People buy season tickets, go to the FSU game and sell the rest or don’t bother going. If you add in the fact that half the fans left at halftime because we got blown out every week, the attendance looked even worse.

Dolphins are good and surprise surprise now have strong attendance

I wouldnt be surprised if Gattis stays but Mario brings in a helper or two (like they did at Michigan)
That's not realistic. We are paying him $1.8 M. We don't need to babysit him. He is being paid big boy money to produce. He doesn't need to be babied. It's not like he's some future stud that we need to train and keep in-house either. ***** that.

actual attendance this year was the worse in 20 years, per UM press reports

The Dolphins have always had good attendance but yeah it was much easier to get tickets when they sucked.

I believe it. I was at every games besides MTSU. Attendance outside the FSU game was pretty bad, even by Miami standards. I’d say North Carolina had around 40-45,000 people and nobody else even cracked the 40,000 mark.
