I think Cane fans have been jaded by our recent past and are skeptical that the changes will be made. I'm choosing to be patient and trust the insiders but there's a voice in my head telling me that Mario might feel that the problems were mostly on the players and not on the coaching.

I hope that small voice is wrong and will await to see what happens by February.

I dont think the discussions were serious enough to warrant more than the minimum amount of attention.

I haven't really done any research but if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Garrett like to run the ball also? Mix of air raid and power run which I'm guessing Mario could get on board with if he's already made the phone call.

Again, Mario isn’t an idiot. He realizes that he needs to adapt on offense in order to attract the premier offensive talent, especially down here.

TCU had a 497:402 split for running vs. passing. It’s not particularly fast either - so there’s some clock control.

Garret Riley's offensive production at TCU in 2022 is EXACTLY what Mario said he wants ... A balanced offensive attack with the ability to run the ball and attack vertically:

-Passing Stat. 264/402 (66%) 3549 yards, 31 TD's and 4 ints.
-Rushing Stat. 497 rushes for 2600 yards, 33 TD's.
-Total Plays 899. Passing plays 402 (45%). Rushing plays 497 (55%).
-Total offensive ranking #16; Passing O #25; Rushing O #25.
