If Mario convinced TVD to stay with the idea that Gattis will be retained he’s an even better recruiter than I thought.
I think Cane fans have been jaded by our recent past and are skeptical that the changes will be made. I'm choosing to be patient and trust the insiders but there's a voice in my head telling me that Mario might feel that the problems were mostly on the players and not on the coaching.
I hope that small voice is wrong and will await to see what happens by February.
Agreed but DT won't change life. A WR can pull us from the abyss.I would say WR's and DT's are the 2 biggest misses so far
Nah, but when he hires Garrett Riley it will.
Mario gives zero ***** about us.Mario think he slick..
He think all this great recruiting gon make us forget Gattis still here.
Has Frank Tucker not taught us any lessons?I’m glad someone of your caliber mentioned this, which is why I waited.
I have it on good authority Miami and Garret Riley have had discussions. How serious I wasn’t told.

Riley's name came up last night during a discussion with someone noteworthy...Nah, but when he hires Garrett Riley it will.

Believe he is a guy that "leaked" a planned secret visit by a high profile recruit. Once leaked, the recruit cancelled. Kind of saying if it isn't information that IS SUPPOSED to be public ... keep it quiet.I have no idea who Frank Tucker is or what you’re referring to
I dont think the discussions were serious enough to warrant more than the minimum amount of attention.Believe he is a guy that "leaked" a planned secret visit by a high profile recruit. One can only hope. At least it is an indication that there ARE discussions going on regarding a new OC.I dont think the discussions were serious enough to warrant more than the minimum amount of attention.
I pray this is at least somewhat serious. That guy would do some serious damage down here.Nah, but when he hires Garrett Riley it will.
I mean Mario had to at least make the phone call. If he swung big last year he was definitely going to go after Garrett this year.I’m glad someone of your caliber mentioned this, which is why I waited.

I haven't really done any research but if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Garrett like to run the ball also? Mix of air raid and power run which I'm guessing Mario could get on board with if he's already made the phone call.Id love Garrett Riley but is Mario really going to go from Bro-style to the complete opposite in one offseason? If so, there is hope. Get rid of Steele too please
Again, Mario isn’t an idiot. He realizes that he needs to adapt on offense in order to attract the premier offensive talent, especially down here.Id love Garrett Riley but is Mario really going to go from Bro-style to the complete opposite in one offseason? Awesome. I'm here for all of that.Again, Mario isn’t an idiot. He realizes that he needs to adapt on offense in order to attract the premier offensive talent, especially down here.
Oh, and TCU had a 497:402 split for running vs. passing. It’s not particularly fast either - so there’s some clock control.
Let’s just pray there’s some substance to itAwesome. I'm here for all of that.
Garret Riley's offensive production at TCU in 2022 is EXACTLY what Mario said he wants ... A balanced offensive attack with the ability to run the ball and attack vertically:Id love Garrett Riley but is Mario really going to go from Bro-style to the complete opposite in one offseason? If so, there is hope. Get rid of Steele too please
