Listen man your argument is solid: Moreau was a solid prospect, you think he should have gotten a look, and furthermore you think the staff is ignoring a school to their own peril. That's fine. But don't drag down Grooms, who we all loved as a prospect, and say stupid **** like "Ole ******* Miss would wipe the floor with Miami" because it is not only illogical but also is a surefire way to take away from your own point.

No one thinks this staff is perfect but stick to your point.

Ole Miss would've beat our *** that year. LOL

And K-State did shortly after.

I know who this is now...it's Cityboycane from Grassy.

^Strong Western High bias.
^Lack of self-awareness or perspective
^Is comparing a third-string kid to an all conference performer.
^Is mad about te coaches "not shaking the free" for a kid he consistently contacted the staff about. But wait, none were interested in attending Miami.

This ****ing dummie...If I knew who it was like I do now, I would have put his dumb *** on ignore.

Dude, you're a ****ing idiot. Nobody contacted the staff about any of our kids.

That is not how it always works big man.

Sometimes the coaches need to reach out to the school but since he did not want a miami offer who cares?

They don't need to contact anyone if they have already seen game tapes of the kid and decided that they didn't want him

I don't why you people keep harping on the Grooms vs. Moreau thing. It's not even about that. That's getting off topic. It's about Miami ignoring schools in their backyard. Period. Moreau is an example. Feliciano is an example. (can't blame that on Golden's staff though) Shoot, Wade Freebeck is an example.

It was your example. You clearly made the comparison saying that the Western kid was better because he had 1900 total yards. How you can say that a kid (Grooms) who is excelling at this level is a worse player than a 4th string DB at UCLA is beyond going full potatoe.

DB at UCLA > RB at Marshall

So starting/all-conference performer sucks because being a 4th string DB @ 7-5 UCLA holds more prestige.

This is what I'm talking about. This is just awful, stupid logic.

UCLA wasn't scrambling at all. They loved Moreau despite the fact that they were deep at RB. They saw the athletic potential.

Coaching changes almost always result in a school scrambling to fill their class.

Anyway, did he camp at Miami? I'm guessing that's a no, or you don't know, since you won't answer.

I'll tell you again, they weren't scrambling when they signed Moreau.

No he didn't camp at Miami. It's not his job to make Miami notice him. He didn't care for Miami so he had no desire to.

And I'll say it again...

This isn't about the fact that Miami didn't offer him. It's about Miami not properly shaking the tree. Moreau isn't the only kid they've ignored.

This is about evaluations. Unless you think they aren't aware that he exists. They didn't think he warranted the interest. Right or wrong, thats the scenario you're laying out.

A coach can keep kids from considering Miami if they've felt the school has ignored them in the past. Its petty. It sets a poor example, but we know coaches and particularly ones in south Florida with a modicum of fame aren't above being that type of petty.

He wasn't even evaluated. LOL

He was evaluated in some form unless you think they didn't even know he was alive. They said no. Thats all there is to it.

You guys are right.

When you have an athlete like that in your backyard, you shouldn't even look. Don't bother. Don't need him. Kids that athletic are all over the place.

When numerous college coaches asked "Miami's not even looking at him?" then they must've been as potato as I am.

Yall win.

Wasn't evaluated. Maybe, maybe they saw his film. And if they did, that would make them even worse recruiters cause his film is sick. No phone calls. No visits. Nothing.

Ole Miss didn't beat a team with a winning record this year. Their best result was a close loss to Texas A&M at home.

Not talking about a highlight video talking about actual game tapes there is a VERY VERY VERY VERY big difference so again if they saw game tapes and didn't want him there is no reason to waste time. There are phone call and visit limits why waste them on a kid or a school that have no one they want

Shortly after Ole Miss was 3-9. It's a silly point that detracts from your argument.

It's not a silly point at all. It's actually a point that was made to me by a college coach who was looking at him.

"Miami's not looking at him? LOL. They can't even beat us. They can use all the help they can get."

Unless that coach was from Kansas State than that coach is talking out of his ***. All the schools you keep touting are middling schools who finished the year with 5 losses or more.

Given the hundreds of great athletes playing football in South Florida every year, not to mention the many thousands more around the state, of course Miami is going to "ignore" some of them. Again, that YOU are so sold on Moreau being so amazing is great. But that doesn't mean Miami should have been, or that many other top schools and recruiters were.

You don't ignore one of the top athletes in your backyard. You don't ignore a 6'0" 185lb 4.38 kid who had 1900 yards.

Stop it. You can ignore. I know that because thats exactly what happened. It'll happen again. Mack Brown chose Gilbert over Andrew Luck and let him go to Stanford because he already had his guy. Didn't offer him. It happens everywhere. Moreau isn't unique. Neither is Miami.

You guys are right.

I wish him the best getting to third string.

The state of Florida really missed on him as well.

Is this a troll?

And K-State did shortly after.

Ole Miss was absolute trash that recruiting year. For the 2011 season they were 2-10 with their only wins against Fresno State and Southern Illinois. In 2012 they were 7-6 with wins only against crappy teams.

For someone who's a football coach, one would think you'd know more about football.

What does your rebuttal have to do with him pointing out that your Ole Miss comment was completely, ridiculously, wrong? Ole Miss was a TERRIBLE team during that recruiting season. Yet you tried to claim they were a top team recruiting Moreau and would "wipe Miami's ***."

Has to be, he even mentioned Ohio State, who Miami beat in their last meeting.
