@bshaw28 Your services are needed, sir.
Oh man, now we're deep in it.

What if Lyle goes down? This is why I'm a big proponent of bringing a portal RB. If we do bring a RB then I think it would push Fletcher down the depth chart. I don't think he would stick around.Should has nothing to do with it at the end of the day. He will be RB2. He just better not be RB1. Him being RB2 is much more reasonable.
Walton alone in this video has like 10 runs Homer can never even attempt. What attribute does Homer have over Walton other than speed?
Better uses of Miney than portal RB for us imoWhat if Lyle goes down? This is why I'm a big proponent of bringing a portal RB. If we do bring a RB then I think it would push Fletcher down the depth chart. I don't think he would stick around.
And we should go run heavy and keep their offenses on the benchIt’ll be nice to have a fast guy with a bruiser vs two plodding bruisers next year. Lyle could help vs Cuse and SMU this year. Both will try to out score Miami.
Canes loaded at RB. Martinez & Fletcher beat people up & Lyle-Allen can take advantage late.
Yeah these dudes stay outta line in nis board

I’d sign up for Canes Connection if it meant we ran stretch plays or counters.Lyle is perfect for the Stretch play we used to use with Portis, Edge etc.
I hate disagreeing with the Legend, but this is one where we just see it very differently.Although I suspect they'll continue to try force-feed the Fletcher narrative & make him RB1.
I just think he's an average back, a 500+yds per season type back, not a bellcow that you can build around or make the focal point of your Offensive run game.I hate disagreeing with the Legend, but this is one where we just see it very differently.
Fletcher is a really good football player. There's no narrative. He averages 5.7 YPC, dominates in short-yardage, blocks, and batters the opponent. He's a big piece of our #1 offense, and he should be. He's not a franchise back like Edge or McGahee, but I don't see many people making those comps.
I agree Lyle is the best runner, and has more upside overall. Next year, my guess is that Martinez's carries go to Lyle and he forms a great 1-2 punch with Fletcher. I also wouldn't be surprised if Girard Pringle plays a change-of-pace role early in his career (similar to Lyle this season).

I agree with you but to be fair, when has he gotten a games worth of carries. We rotate so **** much he gets like 8-15I just think he's an average back, a 500+yds per season type back, not a bellcow that you can build around or make the focal point of your Offensive run game.
He's only had two 100yd games in his career, most games he's going to give you 50-60yds. I don't remember a back that produced at such a medium level that received as much praise as he does.
I would guess he probably gets drafted between rounds 5-7 by the time he declares, but if you read this board you'd think he's Jonathan Taylor or something.
