Prior to seeing him in person, I too thought that his speed was deceptive. After going to a few games during his junior year, a couple during his senior year, and going to the state track finals a couple of weeks ago, I can attest that he is just flat out fast. When he was split out last year, DB's would play press man against him and he would just blow right by them.Yeah, he's deceptively fast.
His legs are running, but not that fast - but his strides are loooooong, and when you see the DB's trying to catch him - that's when everything comes into perspective.
You're talking an event time.
I'm talking about speed that is deceptively fast. As in seeing. Watching. Observing.
Not running and looking up a time he ran in the 100.
I agree with you regarding his strides. He reminds of a deer, meaning he is fast as he'll, but it looks effortless.
I am beyond excited to see this guy dawn the orange and green.
