Kind of my thinking... If Urban stays because the "committee" finds he had no knowledge (which everyone will know is BS) does Battle go and play for a guy that people know lied to cover up DV, does his family feel comfortable with that? Or if he is fired/resigns, does Battle stick around for whatever head coach they bring in with likely new assistants etc.?

Well I can guarantee our staff won't use the DV to negatively recruit. Not their style.

But other schools will, and the people close to him will definitely want to explain to him how the situation really looks.

I'm willing to bet Battle doesn't end up at OSU. But I have a harder time believing he'll be a Cane.

My thought process is that a guy either wants to stay home or he doesn't. He chose OSU to get away from home. Bama offered and that may be the reason he needs.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I have no clue what the kid is like, but I have spend an unhealthy amount of hours monitoring recruiting 😂

Who is this guy? Does he think Urban just sat down with some local 2-bit lawyer to write that letter? The guy probably has a team of the best lawyers money can buy. He’s obv trying to protect himself and his paycheck. There is a strategy to this - I just don’t think Clay is bright enough to get it

Well.....Urban just now pit himself against the AD and higher ups at Ohio State. Regardless, with his own wording, he told the higher ups at Ohio State and still elected to keep him on staff for 3 years. In no way does this paint Meyer in a good light. And that's the problem.

Major problem. He’s using the AD and Admin as scapegoats while also admitting fault. **** just got reeeaaaal interesting for OSU...
