The fact that this staff even spent 3 seconds contemplating offering him and wasting all of the time that they did is what ****es me off the most.

Of course, if they didn't, all we'd be hearing on these boards is how the staff failed to even recruit a top player in S. Florida, and what a failure they are.

I've been saying that recruiting Dixon was a waste of time since February. I wouldn't have batted an eye if they never even looked at his film. This coaching staff had this kid on campus many times and never sealed the deal. And lo and behold, a Dwyer kid went elsewhere. But carry on with the following me around and humping of my leg.

* You're the only kid we are recruiting in the state of Florida. That is how much we think of you. (A lie. But its ***).

* We play in a weak *** conference that virtually guarantees we play in a BCS game every year. (True for the most part)

* You will have immediate playing time. (Not sure the same can be said at Miami. Maybe.)

* We sell out every home game. 80,000 + screaming for you every home game. (Umm...yeah...we have beautiful beaches?)

* See, we have this "academic support system" that virtually guarantees you don't have to open a textbook...ever...ever ever. (We can't afford to slip like that - not now at least).

* See, we have this network of "employers" who need people to do such things like, house sit, wash cars, watch t.v. for a couple hours a week. And it pays about $5,000 a month...I mean $7.50/hr. By the wayt, you have any uncles or family members that want to do some consulting for some of our network of employers? (Again, we can't play that game right now.)

Have NO CLUE...why we go there...i think because our current staff doesnt really know the landscape even Barrow...but its pretty much a lost cause....i lol'd at the thought of this guy being a cane lean when the biggest game of our season at the time vs UF.......his coach or whomeever had he and his other boys up at nc state at some sh*tty *** game....

I didnt even watch the kids high light tape of last season AND this season....because i had no faith in him coming here.....some of u guys should of been listening...he wasnt "trolling" but dude was on the URB hook from awhile back. Some of the signs were there....OSU losing and then Urb tryna drum up fan support by letting out some of his "silents"...Raekwon Mcmillan and company....pay attention to this recruiting game its levels to this sh*t...

I forgot about dude going to NC State during UF weekend.

I threw in the towel last yr on Big 6 when he had to be "convinced" to come to um on a sh*tty mid week visit....and was indifferent on whether to go or not...

I always leery on Dixon being he plays at Dwyer...but as far back as before the spring...dude mentioned recruiting and teams he liked or grew up liking and he NEVER mentioned us...struck me as odd...as like 2-3 weeks later people on here were saying we were in there for him.

Then in our biggest game of the year..all the buzz about the game...his coach a Big *** GATOR douche likely going to the game...AND.........VOILA his *** is in Raleigh,NC in the rain watching NC STATE almost lose to a div 1 aa team....Didnt get to see the atmosphere of our game or the win....WELL PLAYED..JACK DANIELS...WELL PLAYED.

I for real wonder if this plays a part in a kids decision like Dixons? I mean, if I go to the U I might be like the 3rd or 4th most athletic kid at my position....at OSU I'm a commodity and no one really has a player like me. Dixon is a good player. At OSU he is considered a Ferrari. Here? I mean...no one really blinks an eye at a kid like Johnny Dixon...he's just another talented SoFla receiver. I am being serious. I think kids like this sometimes want to be a commodity. Even the analysts said when he committed that no one has a kid like Johnny Dixon in the Big Ten...**** we have one on our team already in PD4! Look at Ted Ginn Jr. he torn up the BIG but when he got into the NC game against Florida he wasn't the fastest most athletic player on the field...Florida's DB's basically shut him down. Johnnie is absolutely going to go H.A.M. in the BIG w/ all of the slow, unathletic DB's from Penn State, Purdue, Michigan, Iowa

He sat out the rest of the NC game with an injury, after housing the opening KO return. There have been plenty of skill players from FL that have been bust at OSU/BIG10 (Wells, Ross, Dukes, etc...)

Wow, that time of the month for you? Not following you around, and you're flattering yourself if you think anyone wants to hump your leg. I wasn't even saying you in particular. My post stands. If the staff did not recruit Dixon, as you suggested, they would have been trashed on these boards for not recruiting a top S.Florida talent. Whether you would or wouldn't have done the trashing really wasn't the point. I take it you've read these boards before. If so, my statement was absolutely true.

From my understanding; Dixon was 100% about to announce to a different school on his previously planned date. About 2 weeks later it's OSU.

The ONLY way this is forgivable is if Dixon caught wind of us landing either Lane or Rudolph, who I think are a little better than Dixon.

Realize Travis Rudolph and Dixon are like best friends......were not getting either of those guys....

Dixon transferred from Cardinal Newman to Dwyer to get out of his good friend's shadow..

Dixon leaving doesn't affect me at all, now if Griffin doesn't make it I'll be a little bummed out. We already have kids that are his size and speed or faster, not a great loss at all. There are probably 10 kids from SF that will be just as good as him in college. Would really like Cook, and either Rudolph or Lane. I'd be thrilled with those guys at the end of our class. Still have an AWESOME CLASS this year regardless.

A teammate told me Johnnie announced his decision after the game on the starters bus, I ride the backups bus so I didn't hear it but anyways, my friend said he thought he heard Johnnie say Miami but a teammate told him it was actually OSU so now I'm lost and he's lost and I'm worried... The derp is strong with you. Ginn is one of the fastest players in the NFL, and was the fastest player in CFB that year. He didnt play most of that game, and in case you missed it, he housed the opening kick-off.......

Im not even trippin on this kid, but the rationalization is beyond me. If the exact opposite happened, we would have 40 pages of 'Golden just gets it'. This is all starting to remind me of the Coker and Radio days. By that, I mean the people that are in Golden's corner will ignore anything and everything that might show cause for concern. These same posters were beating their chests that Radio went into Canesville and stole 2 mega studs D Davis a Nelson right up under Urban's nose. That Joyner wasnt a big deal, Payne was the best pure cover corner on that STA team. Perry had a way higher ceiling than Lemonier, and so on........
