Johnnie Dixon to Ohio Taint

If he committed here everybody would be jumping for joy and saying he's a huge get. But since people don't think he's coming here it "not a big deal", "He's not a once in a lifetime talent", "WRs grow on trees in south florida", etc.

It's amazing the way you all rationalize these decisions whether they are in favor of us or against us.

The "WR's grow n trees in SOFL" is ridiculous yeah there are a lot of talented ones down here but when we lose lane, Rudolph, Dixon, c Holmes you can't just keep saying "they grow on trees" until you lose all of them...I'm happy that we got coley last year but people were like if we don't get coley don't waste a scholly on Another receiver, the 2014 sofl receiving class is elite. Well it's almost 2014 NSD and now everyone is saying we don't need to get the sofl receivers this year and to wait for next year....I can only imagine what those people are gonna say when next year comes around

article didnt say much i just didnt want someone starting a new thread asking
When asked if he will have hats on a table?

"No. I have one hat in a bag," stated Dixon via text message. "I'm announcing at my school at 3 PM. It's been crazy."

Dixon has always held things close to the vest in regards to his recruitment. The school that lands him is getting a tremendous vertical threat out wide. He has excellent linear speed and he puts pressure on defenses with his home run ability.

He finished the regular season with 37 receptions for 758 yards and ten touchdowns. During the playoffs, Dixon scored six touchdowns to help lead Dwyer to their first state crown since 2009.

we have plenty of SoFla wide receivers this year

No its not ridiculous. Now, you could argue that a kid like Rudolph does not necessarily grow on trees, or come along every year, but "good WRs", like Dixon, do get cranked out of SoFla every year. As some have pointed out, guys like Lewis, Hurns, they are good WRs. We have Waters, Scott, Coley, Lewis, Crawford may move to the slot, Griffin is still in play, and Barrios, Brady, and Langham signed and coming in. Why do people keep acting like we dont have any WRs? Moreover, when exactly did Dixon become SO much better than Brady or Langham? I mean he's a good prospect, and a kid we want, but hes not some superstar 5 star cant miss elite kid. He's just not. WRs like Dixon, do come along every year in South Florida. Talent, speed, size and upside. Johnnie Dixon does not miraculously transform our WR corps into some kind of next level threat much beyond the guys we already have. Not the way Coley did, or maybe a kid like Rudolph might.

Don't forget about Dorsett, we have plenty to go around. Yeah it'll suck if Dixon doesn't come but it's not a disastrous miss for this incoming class.

There is 0 indication he's picking Miami, so no one should get all butthurt when he doesn't choose us and start blasting the kid on twitter. It makes our fan base look weak and stupid.

I'm ok with just one of those guys. Coley is just finishing his freshman year, and we are getting Berrios, Langham, and maybe Griffin. So we are already stacked at the WR position. Next years crop is also one of the best in years. I'm torn between Rudolph and Lane. Rudolph is probably the better receiver right now, but Lane's athleticism is great. Would love to get Dixon, but we never land anyone from his school anyways.

Dont forget Brady, who many feel has the most upside of ANY of them. We will be ok at WR. We have some depth, Coley is a stud phenom, if we can manage to get Griffin qualified, he's going to be a beast, and Berrios will be a beast in the Slot. Next year we can grab a few more.

Not going to lose a lot of sleep over Dixon wasting his life at OSU.

Hopefully he becomes the next Duran Carter.

Has anyone seen this kid in miami hat? I know the kid has Canes shorts & slippers, but don't know about a hat

coach who quit on his program when they were at the top of hill v a coach who stuck by his program through dark days.

WRs are a dime a dozen down here but missing out on argueably the 3 best, Lane, Dixon, Rudolph, would hurt. No way else to put it. None of those guys are in the Coley, Watkins category (no matter what Pete says about Lane) but those don't come around often. It's still a loss.

Out of the 6 best skill position players in SFla, those WRs then Cook, Michel, Yearby, we have a good chance to end up with 1. I love this class already, think the staff is doing a good job in recruiting but those numbers have to get better.
