Not a fan of Columbus kids.

Ive been screaming for Divaad Wilson for awhile now.

Have never watched Jobe highlight film as i never thought he was a cane.

Jobe just looks like a better athlete ON TAPE than Wilson...For instance those kick returns and the big plays when Columbus occasionally put Jobe on offense, I don't think Wilson is capable of that JMO...And I'm totally over Jobe. Wanted him in this class, but he's a clown, and these types often fail.

Wilson returned punts this year for NW. I dont think there is much difference in athleticism.

Josh Jobe- 5-11.5 178 4.57 40
Wilson, Divaad 18 DB Northwestern (FL)- FL 6-0 180 4.62 4.32 35 36.4 97.08 overall rating

Wilson was a top 15 performer..thats from the same combine in febuary. In fact Wilson had a higher sparq than Tyson Campbell who is a freak and my fav player in the class.

To be honest im perplexed on how they arent or dont know about Wilson...other than he went to Pace and transferred to MNW and got lost in the shuffle. Because you cant watch tape of MNW d and not have him jump off the screen

Amazing how a Jobe can flip to Bama when they have so many 4 and 5 * DBs already on the team and are bringing in another 3 or 5 in this class whlie at miami if MJ goes pro all he has to compete with is Bandy,Dean and Young. And as of today we only have Ivey and Blades as cb commits.I understand is hard to turn down bags but if you see yourself as a 3 and out miami offers a much better opportunity.

South Florida kids arent afraid of competition, so you can throw that thought process out the window. He'll be on the field way before those oter 4 or 5 star guys

He said he likes Bama cuz he can play as a freshman cuz they’re losing so guys in the secondary.

There are plenty of SFL kids who look at who they’re competing against and plenty who don’t

Not so sure.

Dude is a man amongst boys, sure he has the talent but he hasn't seen competition like he'll see on that Alabama depth chart.

We might see him out there but I don't think he'll be a contributor for a solid two years +

He has the added benefit of being nearly 2 years older than most high school seniors

name a s.fla kid that doesnt go to bama and start?. Jobe has went against better talent on his 7 on 7 team. Oh hes no bum...Bama recruits guys like him to replace their 5 stars on their bench. I still remember 3 star late recruit eddie jackson going to bama and just taking his spot.

i coach these kids...the elite kids in s.fla give a f about a depth chart. They come in like Navaughhn Donaldosn and just take people spot. It is what it is. Jobe is in the elite level..Bama secondary isnt going to scare him off..just like ours wasnt.

Doesn’t hurt that he’s the same age as the juniors

Go get Divaad Wilson to replace Jobe and call it a day.
Go get Tyquan Thorton while your at it since there is still uncertainly about the direction UF wants to go with some of their commits.
After that go get after Dunlap because say what you want.. we need MAJOR help in the trenches.

Studs right in our faces especially with UF class decaying and we ain't even taking advantage of it.

After that go get Gainer while Yogart is trying to get his sh*t together. If he won't budge then get Bonnito and we good.

ughh!! *walks out like Ed Reed in the halftime speech*

Dunlap? Searles threw shade at him when he committed to the lizards. Dunlap is not getting a look.

So what's the deal here with Jobe? Is he just messing with everyone's mind or is he a lock to decommit? Has he said anything else?

Lol....

Ay Real Talk, WE ALL owe Tweed an apology. Tweed said from Day 1 this B.A.N wasn’t going to be in this class.

To be fair frat he also said Nesta wasn’t going to stick either. Though he did publicly recant so batting .500 isn’t bad.

I said this earlier. Despite Bama's success in recruiting, early PT is definitely available in their secondary. I was actually surprised when I looked. He'll have the opportunity to play early, and more than likely he will have the opportunity to be a 3 and done success. Hopefully Clemson spanks that ***. And then next year someone else does. And then the next year. And then in 2021 we do. You get my drift. Saban's a God to many because they keep winning. If they start losing, some of this stuff will change.

I dismissed this "kid" when I read the quote about him saying there was a "120% chance" he will flip to bama. He's 19, not a kid. I entered the military one month after I turned 18 and was held accountable for everything I said and did. I don't fall for the, "he's just playing the game" BS either. They need to understand their word should mean something. On to the next recruit!

another 100 thread, yep! smdh, we are Canes we worry about who wants to be a cane, if Jobe don't see ya. The times are over where teams will run over us. We are back to where we should be on top. This year will be like every year going forward. If the young man wants his offseason to be back to Alabama where he would hang with his boys from school vers Miami with former um teammates, hey all the best.

Meh. Seems like there is one of these kids every year. Byrd, Bryant, the kid with the slippers. I’ll focus on the guys we get, thanks.

This is Rumph's chance to prove the doubters wrong, wrt his recruiting.

If he fvcks this class of CBS up I don't know what to say.

Get Campbell locked up now.

Josh Jobe made some rather interesting comments earlier this week when he told 247Sports' Hank South that there was a '120 percent chance' that he flips from Miami to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide have long been considered a threat to land the Top100 safety and based upon all the information InsideTheU has received over the past 48 hours we can report that things aren't looking good when it comes to the Hurricanes chances of holding onto the U.S. Army All-American.

Multiple people connected to the recruitment have stated that Jobe is leaning towards Alabama and planning to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa next weekend and not Coral Gables after Nick Saban met with him on Tuesday. One contact added that Jobe has pretty much gone quiet making it hard to get a read on what exactly he's thinking.

Still Miami isn't giving up. InsideTheU has learned that safeties coach Ephraim Banda is scheduled to fly up to Connecticut on Friday to see Jobe at his prep school. The Hurricanes also have the option to return next week with Mark Richt as it appears that UM is saving that card and waiting to use it at the right time.

Should Jobe however flip to Alabama it wouldn't exactly be detrimental to Miami's class. Sure, the Hurricanes love Jobe and his upside, but they also remain high on the four other defensive backs they currently have committed to Storm 18 in Gurvan Hall, Gilbert Frierson, Al Blades Jr. and D.J. Ivey.

The coaches have also kept in contact with Daytona Beach Mainland three-star safety John Huggins. The former Florida State commit told InsideTheU on Wednesday that he will take an official visit to Miami in January after he sees both Louisville and Nebraska this month.

It should be noted as well that a Jobe flip to Alabama could also help the Hurricanes sign Top100 cornerback Tyson Campbell as someone familiar with both recruitments stated that if Jobe were to ink with the Crimson Tide the SEC School would likely stop pushing for Campbell.

As for the news of Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt leaving to take the head coaching job at Tennessee we don't think that will have much impact on Jobe's decision. Jobe's primary recruiter is Joe Pannunzio with Derrick Ansley heavily involved.

Jobe (6-1, 180) played last season at Miami Columbus. He visited Miami multiple times in July.
