Would take Campbell over Jobe in a heart beat. Jobe is starting to give me a keef bryant type of vibe only without as much public trolling.

Never will understamd kids trolling the hometown school so much. Byrd scewed his career up and would be s starting db here now

If there's smoke with Asante, why not just go full court press on him? Jobe at Bama does not hurt us at all as opposed to playing Asante every year.

After seeing what our coaches did with our DB's this year with very average talent, I'm no longer worried. Jobe vs. another talented DB is splitting hairs.

Personally, I would focus on CB's vs. Safeties. I do not believe they are interchangeable as some people do. True CB's are very difficult to find, i.e. height, in-line speed, closing speed, flexibility, decent vertical jump, coordination throughout the play, mental frame of mind. CB's that are weak in any of these areas are typically converted to safeties by bulking them up, not the other way around.

Lock it and move on. His name should be banned from this board for tweeting that ST26 stuff and then pulling this crap.

Banda is now flying up to Connecticut to meet with Jobe on Friday. Still think he’s Bama bound, but they’re giving I‎t a shot

You know we were 52nd in the country in total passing defense, right? I thought our secondary (besides Jaquan Johnson) was pretty pedestrian this year. If Jackson, Redwine and Young don't make drastic improvements this offseason, I wouldn't be surprised if their spots are taken by the freshmen. That's why I'm ok if we grab 5-6 DB's this cycle because we can use the 2-3 best right away.

Pointless flight...waste of time. Go try to get Campbell/Samuel Jr or someone that actually WANTS to be in this class and be a Cane. Don't get me wrong, would love for Jobe to be a cane but he's playing way too many games. Surprised after all this Richt is even sending Banda up to CT to see him...

I've said it earlier. I will not fault the staff for this one. The staff more than surpassed expectations on the season. Redwine and Jaquan are a solid starting safety duo. Carter and Smith developed well into the 2-deep at the midway point of the season. Rumph developed our corners and Michael Jackson did a full 180 on his career since Rumph's been here. Richt has won just about every single COY accolade. Miami won 10 games this season along with the division title and beat their rivals VT, FSU and Notre Dame (two of which in blow out fashion on prime time).

This staff is still giving it a shot even though it's all but over. But there will be idiots that fault the staff for this one. News flash - Jobe showed his hand once he said he wasn't signing early, even though he was committed since 2015.

Lost cause imo, shady sh*t imo happened at that school

so now all of a sudden he's a lost cause, no more "he still committed aint he? chill" ?

This kid has been ****boy from the jump and I got tons of **** from people here every time i'd call him out for his ****ery too.

Josh Jobe made some rather interesting comments earlier this week when he told 247Sports' Hank South that there was a '120 percent chance' that he flips from Miami to Alabama.

The Crimson Tide have long been considered a threat to land the Top100 safety and based upon all the information InsideTheU has received over the past 48 hours we can report that things aren't looking good when it comes to the Hurricanes chances of holding onto the U.S. Army All-American.

Multiple people connected to the recruitment have stated that Jobe is leaning towards Alabama and planning to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa next weekend and not Coral Gables after Nick Saban met with him on Tuesday. One contact added that Jobe has pretty much gone quiet making it hard to get a read on what exactly he's thinking.

Still Miami isn't giving up. InsideTheU has learned that safeties coach Ephraim Banda is scheduled to fly up to Connecticut on Friday to see Jobe at his prep school. The Hurricanes also have the option to return next week with Mark Richt as it appears that UM is saving that card and waiting to use it at the right time.

Should Jobe however flip to Alabama it wouldn't exactly be detrimental to Miami's class. Sure, the Hurricanes love Jobe and his upside, but they also remain high on the four other defensive backs they currently have committed to Storm 18 in Gurvan Hall, Gilbert Frierson, Al Blades Jr. and D.J. Ivey.

The coaches have also kept in contact with Daytona Beach Mainland three-star safety John Huggins. The former Florida State commit told InsideTheU on Wednesday that he will take an official visit to Miami in January after he sees both Louisville and Nebraska this month.

It should be noted as well that a Jobe flip to Alabama could also help the Hurricanes sign Top100 cornerback Tyson Campbell as someone familiar with both recruitments stated that if Jobe were to ink with the Crimson Tide the SEC School would likely stop pushing for Campbell.

As for the news of Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt leaving to take the head coaching job at Tennessee we don't think that will have much impact on Jobe's decision. Jobe's primary recruiter is Joe Pannunzio with Derrick Ansley heavily involved.

Jobe (6-1, 180) played last season at Miami Columbus. He visited Miami multiple times in July.

john huggins? come on, really

If he wants to go, let him bounce!! GO! But here is the issue - it sucks that Alabama can come into our backyard and poach a player (who is flaky as we all know) who has been "1000% committed" to us for over 2 years. I thought those days were coming to end with the firing of Al Folden. Whether Jobe comes a superstar or flames out in college is not the issue - its the fact that schools like Alabama can steal kids from our class. To me, thats the bigger issue. I know that will change once we continue to win - but, the fact that it is still happening is a bit disconcerting.
