He's 205 on rivals, 117 on ESPN and 47 (95 composite) on 247, so you right, my b. I wouldn't say he's a top 50 player nationally, but to each there own. I don't think he's a transcendent talent like that

247's actual ratings are the ones I most trust.

The composite is muddied because ESPN and Rivals are often way off in their evaluations. 247's own guys are the best evaluators, in my opinion.

I don't know Jobe at all, but I'm fairly familiar with Nick Saban and some of his recruiting tactics. This is par for the course. This kid has been in the bag for a while, and Saban is probably pulling the strings on when to officially announce. Saban does that with certain kids. I know for a fact he did that with the Evans kid from Auburn whose father played at Auburn but became disgruntled and transferred because he was behind Bo Jackson. Saban had him play it up like it was down to those two in an attempt to embarrass Auburn. The father was so bitter and excited that he finally had the opportunity to "get back" at Auburn that he let the cat out of the bag afterwards.

Another thing that Saban does is he tells these kids exactly what they want to hear. He's not talking about class or academics. He's talking about the NFL and getting paid. On the one hand, I can't knock him for being honest bc that's what it's really about w/ these kids, but on the other, he's setting these boys up for failure if they don't make it or wash out.

Going to be real interesting to get Pete's response on this. Can't blame Pete for him flipping, that makes no sense.....but you can't sugar coat what happened. If you say he is coming forever and he doesn't you owe it to your readers on what really happened. Even if it was shady details, it's a bad look if the details behind the scenes aren't shared just because of some friendship you have with the kid. If bama just had a better pitch then say it, if they dropped bags then say it, if the kid played you and his 7 on 7 coach say it...but you can't just stay silent forever on it. That's my only opinion. Other then that great work as always, I enjoy all the content on this site.

The local facquits need to get some backbone and shun this pos and his family if he does UM dirty.

We need to get away from the "God bless, do you and what's best for you, fam" bullshyt and start handing out some significant sanctions for this type of fckery.

These assh0les can jam up your recruiting by pulling facquity **** like this because then UM has to go to Plan B late in the process. And Plan B knows he's Plan B. If he's sour he'll say, "No thanks. I'm going to stick with ______."

Then, you wind up either scrambling and trying to steal a Plan D guy from FIU, or you just eat that spot for 2018. Meanwhile, if the maggot wasn't trolling the local club all along, then UM could have planned accordingly and signed a different big-time guy instead.
