Jimbo Fisher

I keep reading/hearing this, where exactly are they loaded?

QB - pretty good
RB - No Cook, big ?
WR - Murray looks real good, other than that, nothing great (Rudolph is decent)
OL - LOL
TE - Meh
DL - Very little to no pass rush
LB - Worse position on their team this year
DB - James is a star, Solid corners

Far from Loaded

If thats your assessment of them, Id love to read your breakdown of us.....
LSU is a bit aways on offense, while FSU outside of OL already has the pieces there.

Which is absolutely huge

Who, on offense, outside of Murray (assuming Cook leaves) would you consider a great player?

Who on defense, outside of James would you consider a great player?

Next year:
QB - FSU
RB - Miami
OL - push
wr - slight edge to FSU
TE - Miami

DL - Miami
LB - Miami
DB - FSU

Derwin James is gone this year, but they are stacked on defense. Demarcus Christmas and Josh Sweat are **** good along the DL, and Brian Burns is having a similar year to Joe Jackson as a true freshman. Marcus Lewis and T McFadden have looked great for only being sophomores, and Levontae Taylor is already on the field all the time as true freshman. You are outright selling them short here, but the OL is a major problem right now for them. The DL is a push and I don't see how you have RB as an advantage for us, our RBs disappear against good comp. I think we match up well on defense against them outside of the secondary, in fact I would be tempted to take our starters over theirs there, but they take us based on depth which we don't have yet anywhere outside the interior of the defensive line. Lastly their TEs are **** good right now, no doubt Njoku is the best of them all but their 2 guys are better than our other guys outside of Njoku.

Agree on Burns, good call there. No doubt their secondary is better, hence me giving them the advantage. But there's no way in **** the DL is a push. Norton/Mcintosh >>>>>> Nnadi/Christmas. Sweat is very overrated, he's completely under performed from what was expected. Miami's LB are far better as well.

Yes, their depth is much better.

You didnt read my post, I said that I would be tempted to take our starters over them and I meant that in our front 7. Still even then Mcintosh/Norton isn't a clear edge over Nnadi/Christmas. Christmas is playing the NT in that system and he isn't gonna rack up the numbers that either guys will in our more aggressive system. Now in regards to Sweat, he is only a true soph, like I said in my OP, if that was the posters breakdown of their players, I would love to see a breakdown of ours. Sweat came in as a true freshman recovering from a knee injury that many thought would have finished him. Bottom line is that they have studs everywhere, they recruit at a high level and continue to stack chips, especially at DL where Odell haggins has been doing his thing for a long minute. So in the end, while our DL has drastically improved, you are overrating them slightly while completely dismissing what FSU has in terms of talent. They have young talent all across the board, their problem right now is their DC, while LSU's problem is that they are a complete mess at the QB position. Jimbo is gonna stay.

Interesting. Here's a thought, if he does go to LSU does FSU go after Les Miles? I had Miles going to NCST or at least being on their short list. But between the two, I think Miles would head to Tally.

Fishers buyout is 5million before Jan1st. 3 million after. That won't hold back LSU in the least bit.
Plus, the thing that people seem to forget about buyouts, is it's not all in one lump sum...

They can spread it out over years & and actually agree to have a certain amount allocated.

Major programs will find a way even when there is none, LSU wants him & they're going to do all they can to get him.

I think Fedora and Fisher have that out year coming this off season. Hood and Tribisky leaving with all of their senior wrs and Cook is leaving FSU and they may be destined for 3rd in their division so they both can say **** it if there'sone year to get that monster job its now so either way we'd win

Nope, do not agree on Burns. Joe Jackson is a complete freak. Dude is held almost every play. Could you imagine his numbers if the opposing olinemen weren't allowed to hold him? Jackson is gone his jr year 1st round

Much easier to win in the ACC than the SEC west. FSU has the cash to match any offer. He'd be a fool to leave.

If he's smart, and he is, he'll play it like Saban, and get a raise every time somebody comes offering.

That sounds like a PR nightmare for FSU regardless of Miles credentials.

I doubt FSU is going to give that cuck another raise. They'd probably welcome LSU taking him off their hands.

I don't want Jimbo to leave. I don't want the possibility of Briles or Herman being their next coach. Now, if for some reason those aforementioned coaches wind up at other programs, then let him leave.

If you are LSU the only question you should be asking yourself when you interview candidates is, "Can this guy beat Saban at least every other year?"...If the answer is No..you cant hire him..If the answer is Maybe..you cant hire him...Fisher and Fedora are both Maybes. LSU needs to shoot for the stars with this hire.

There perfect hire would be Art Briles but he seems to be on the blacklist for now..It would be the easy choice otherwise.

I think even Tom Herman would be a Yes to that question. ALOT better talent at LSU then at HOU and an easier recruiting base. He has Louisiana all to himself and we know he can recruit. (Ed Oliver going to Houston was all I needed to see)

Gotta at least give him a call.

If Orgeron doesn't get this job that will be twice that he's gotten the shaft. Turns out they should have kept him at USC instead of hiring Sark. LSU should focus on locking him in and getting him a dope OC.

Don't care if he stays or goes, as long as we use how unstable their (FSU) coaching situation is for recruiting.

They're loaded and have a QB of the future. I can't see him leaving.

Mcfadden looking great? All his picks are balls thrown right at him, hes been burned a ton this year, taylor has looked ok he has had some bad moments, becker hasnt seen the field, lewis hasnt done jack, and you bring up Christmas lmao, sweat is a beast, burns has looked ok this year, derwin is a straight stud and so is walker but he gone after this yr

As for their offense, cook is gone and thats huge he has won them games, wideout they lose bobo, kermit maybe rudolph, thats leaves you with tate, phillips, murray, campbell, lane (lmao) and whoever they bring in this class thats a lot of unknowns, O-line is a big unknown they brought in a good class last year but still look meh

So they have a ton of question marks

McFadden takes a lot of chances, so yes he has had his moments of looking great and horrible, but overall as a true Soph he has tons of promise. My point was that they have a ton of young talent.

FSU secondary is ttalented as **** but let's not front Taylor hasn't been a standout, McFadden is being tried a lot and some of those picks are bad passes and Lewis is good but doesnt blow me away. I'd take them but they don't scream great position group

I hope Cuckbo stays at FSU. I'd hate to see them replace him with a really good HC. I still don't see why LSU would want to hire a guy on the downswing like Cuckbo.

they would replace him with Herman

Herman to Texas. Strong to FSU.

Byvfar the most likely scenario

I don't think many realize that FSU hasn't had to conduct a coaching search in ages. Bobby chose Jimbo and put him in place. Let them try this out and watch them choose a guy with Florida ties like Strong, with the narrative that he wasn't given a fair shake at UT, but knows how to recruit down here.

Talking about Marcus Lewis is good? That's how I know you just be saying anything. Lewis hasn't played as much as he was earlier in the year even with injuries of several dbs because he was getting sh*tted on by any and everybody...
