Jimbo Fisher

They should save themselves some money and get Fedora. I think Jimbo is comfortable at FSU and then there's the part that nobody is talking about. He just recently went though a divorce and they have two younger children. I don't know what the custody situation is, but that's gotta be a factor.

Fishers buyout is 5million before Jan1st. 3 million after. That won't hold back LSU in the least bit.
Plus, the thing that people seem to forget about buyouts, is it's not all in one lump sum...

They can spread it out over years & and actually agree to have a certain amount allocated.

Major programs will find a way even when there is none, LSU wants him & they're going to do all they can to get him.

They're loaded and have a QB of the future. I can't see him leaving.

I keep reading/hearing this, where exactly are they loaded?

QB - pretty good
RB - No Cook, big ?
WR - Murray looks real good, other than that, nothing great (Rudolph is decent)
OL - LOL
TE - Meh
DL - Very little to no pass rush
LB - Worse position on their team this year
DB - James is a star, Solid corners

Far from Loaded

If thats your assessment of them, Id love to read your breakdown of us.....
LSU is a bit aways on offense, while FSU outside of OL already has the pieces there.

Which is absolutely huge

Who, on offense, outside of Murray (assuming Cook leaves) would you consider a great player?

Who on defense, outside of James would you consider a great player?

Next year:
QB - FSU
RB - Miami
OL - push
wr - slight edge to FSU
TE - Miami

DL - Miami
LB - Miami
DB - FSU

For those of you who think fishers buyout is only 5 or 3 million depending on the date you are wrong. Go back and check. Its the highes in the country

Derwin James is gone this year, but they are stacked on defense. Demarcus Christmas and Josh Sweat are **** good along the DL, and Brian Burns is having a similar year to Joe Jackson as a true freshman. Marcus Lewis and T McFadden have looked great for only being sophomores, and Levontae Taylor is already on the field all the time as true freshman. You are outright selling them short here, but the OL is a major problem right now for them. The DL is a push and I don't see how you have RB as an advantage for us, our RBs disappear against good comp. I think we match up well on defense against them outside of the secondary, in fact I would be tempted to take our starters over theirs there, but they take us based on depth which we don't have yet anywhere outside the interior of the defensive line. Lastly their TEs are **** good right now, no doubt Njoku is the best of them all but their 2 guys are better than our other guys outside of Njoku.

Jimbo has proven himself to be a 2-3 loss per year coach when he doesn't have a generational talent at QB and an entire city's bureaucracy aligned to keep said QB off the hook for a rape charge. I personally really like Francois but he isn't Jameis.

I'd rather they keep Jimbo, who we should have beaten three times in a row now, than lose him and hire someone like Fedora, who would OWN with that kind of talent.

Gtfoh our backup Herndon is better than anyone they have by far... We lead the country in tfl with 90 and is top 20 in sacks. Our dline is clearly better than theirs and it's not even close. Our best players on the dline are underclassmen too. It's not a push when comparing the 2 defensive lines. We have outperformed them. Our running backs is clearly better than anyone they have after cook. Patrick is less talented than Gus Edward imo. I have seen him run multiple times and he just doesn't have it

Coach O better figure out a way to grab Sterlin Gilbert from Texas to run his offense.

That's the only way he's going to keep that LSU gig, IMO.

Not sure of his relationship with Sarkisian, but but maybe he'd want a shot to call plays again? And Coach O would beat hurting Bama with that hire at the same time.

Look how they recruit check again....they have names right now that will emerge just like we do every year. They recruit at an elite level so those back ups will be better next season

Agree on Burns, good call there. No doubt their secondary is better, hence me giving them the advantage. But there's no way in **** the DL is a push. Norton/Mcintosh >>>>>> Nnadi/Christmas. Sweat is very overrated, he's completely under performed from what was expected. Miami's LB are far better as well.

Yes, their depth is much better.

You're wrong.

Report: LSU AD contacted Fisher reps

The sources, per NOLA.com, said Fisher’s $5 million buyout would not scare away the athletic program from pursuing him. The sources believe Fisher would take the LSU job if the program “meets his salary demands and gives him a long-term deal.” Fisher's buyout drops to $3M on Jan. 1, 2017
