Bama, yes we could, or we could fall flat. SCarolina, possibly but they are one of the hottest teams right now, so unlikely. Bama is nothing more than the Bama name now, but like I said earlier, "fans" of this team amplify our flaws and downplay other team's flaws.

Okay, I get that you are a superfan and I applaud you for it. But to be a normal fan doesn’t require one to be blinded about your own team. I’d be thrilled if we snuck into the playoffs even to get dismantled…I just don’t think we deserve it based on our closing body of work.

And a major difference here being that our defense has been historically putrid outside of about 2.5 games. The teams we are competing against had awful games for sure but they weren’t season-long patterns.

Nothing to do with "superfan". We have a huge hole and little chance to win a NC. But other teams in the potential at-large category have lots of holes too and also have little chance to go anywhere in the playoffs. But you go in the opposite direction and downplay them while amplifying ours. Bama has losses to mediocre teams, and were even blown out by one of them. At least we were competitive in our losses.

Was just going to porst DK to win the playoffs has bama +2200, ***** +5000. We’re at +30000 with 16 teams having better odds.

Yeah I get those odds aren’t for making it but telling the bama/***** are so far out in front and theoretically behind us with dinich’s projections.

There is no reason for us to be in the playoffs, even if the math maths us in through the backdoor.

Two losses to unranked teams - idc if they were one score losses with buffoonery. No real good wins.

We have a player that the nation would probably like to see again and we are a draw, but we'd be a cosmetic pick for the playoffs. We fumbled the bag and blew it.

That’s not saying much we’ve given up 40 points or more to any team with a decent defense.

OSU, Bama and Georgia’s offenses have been pretty horrible in games this year.

Even though I know we’re not winning anything. I’ll take squeezing in at 12. As much as I agree our defense is trash, To get/keep the program going in the right direction, the publicity of making the playoffs and having two weeks of marketing helps the bigger picture.

Miami would be the *easy* choice for the committee if SMU wins. They can say Miami was a P4 team with 2 losses instead of 3. That would also keep them from having to explain why they chose one of the 3 loss SEC teams over the other 2. But don’t expect it to happen. It’ll be Bama bc of strength of schedule and whatever bull**** metric they wanna use.
