Per Wagner at on3, he spoke with Smith earlier today and he plans to take two visits back to UM this fall.
No shocker here. I think is dad right after the OV said JS loves UM and is just needing UM to give him a reason to stay home. (better offense, winning product) We had the same chance with Innis and flopped miserably. (especially when he was at the FSU game. Smh) Not saying we get Innis..but we didnt even give buddy anything to think about. lol. Lets at least give JS something to consider this go around.

Hope he likes a good running game and watching a team run it 60% of the time.

If so, he's in the bag.

Wins are preferred but a close loss is a lot better than 45-3.

Those kinds of losses kill any momentum lol
Yeah I think over the years fans put wayyyyy too much stock into one game. It rarely makes that much of a difference in the grand scheme of things

But when you get steamrolled that badly, it does matter. I think it was Patchan when he chose to go to UiF he cited the game against Virginia he was at (the last OB game) and he was like yeah there’s no way I can commit to a program that goes out like that

i think if two teams have a similar final record (9-3 for example) and one loses a blow out loss it’s not that big of a deal. But if one team wins is 9-3 and the other is 7-5 or 6-6 and they get blown out it makes it a lot harder for local recruiting.

Our staff has the “it was a our first year” excuse and they’re really good recruiters but they’ve got their work cut out for them making up for that with local kids

i expected a better recruiting staff tbh but mario himself can go toe to toe with the best.

I was told “we’re going vertical” with TVD… is that not the case?

I’d be shocked if Miami doesn’t average 32-35 pass attempts per game. Last year at Houston (with less talent at QB) Dawson threw on average 39 times per game.

you can run it down their throats when you have a nice lead. you cant when youre trying to go to score for score or playing catch up. that ATM game last year was pure coaching malpractice
That’s one game last year with a different team. If our oline can move people to win games THIS year run 70% if we have to.

That 40% can be absolutely be chunk plays, especially if you’re running effectively. Safety’s move up if the d is getting gashed and then it’s over the top.

Yeah…. 60% of the time is beyond a stretch.

Mario is not dumb, he knows what he needs to do. Let’em cook
Fsu ran the ball 57% of the time last year.

I don’t think running 55-60% of the time is a problem IF you’re running the ball effectively and you’re passing the ball effectively too.

If you’re passing 60% of the time but it’s not working kids don’t want to see that either.

We just need to be effective and put kids in position to make plays

We put the ball in the air on the road alot against ATM.. Just had a ton of drops and over throws.. We couldnt execute.. We ran teh ball well too, actually had alot of yards and left a BUNCH of plays out on the field especially in passing game..

I think as long as TVD is more like '21 the ball will be in the air a bunch in those games..

burned way too much time in the ATM game leaving us with nothing at the end esp when we couldnt score TDs.

Just being a smart ***.. I don't know what to expect. I don't really do or care about %. all about game flow. Heupel, both Riley's, etc are all run heavy according to their %.

As long as we don't have that tendency to try to run it on 3rd and 6+ as much as we did last year...
