this one, imo, will require a great season with his friends in his ear the entire time. no diff than Innis. need to prove he wont get wasted down here compared to the WR factory at OSU
Jmo but a great season wouldn’t have landed Innis

I could be wrong but yes the players in the game are the same as the Innis situation but this recruitment feels different to me

I know the right people are saying we still have a chance here and I trust that, but this kid, this type of recruitment, we’ve seen it many many times and it rarely works out for us

Could the lure of playing with his Ravens buddies make a difference? There wasn’t that type of connection with Innis.

After last year who could? Don’t know if it’s the players or coaches (prob combination of both) but I’ve never seen a more incompetent team at UM. Expecting more than 7 wins is risky business for your mental.
I agree.

I’m just not going to do this to myself, he gone, and I’m happy that we got JoJo.

Crazy thing is… we’ll know everything we need to know week 2. Over the past 15 years those early matchups dictate the season.

FSU in 2009, UF in 2013 - some of our best seasons during that stretch.

LSU 2018, UF 2019, Bama 2021, A&M 2022…
A&M is a MUST win. We lose that game and 8 wins will be tough. Need the kids to believe.

Hopefully we have seasons like those you mentioned, but not have to play Wisconsin in a bowl game 😭

100% agree. TAMU is a litmus test, just like MSU in 2021 was a litmus test. We should have an electric home field w/ revenge on our minds. If we come out flat & lose that game, I’ll be worried.

Oddly enough, I think Wisconsin is trying to move to a raid approach (with Longo being hired).

I think in 2 years our identity (if done correctly) will model those older Wisky teams in terms of physicality - hopefully with more talent.

I’m just worried they get their **** together but fans overreact if we win. 8-4 has a top 5 roster.

Couldn’t say it better. Im dramatic at times, but this is the most important season in Mario’s life & this is the most important game of said season.

Idc if the final score is 3-2, just win.

If yall had the option of Jeremiah Smith or a 5 star DT like Breland, who yall choosing?

Personally I'm absolutely choosing Jeremiah Smith. I think that would have such a huge impact on future recruiting WR, and just overall in South Florida, it'd pay dividends for the next 5-10 years. Whereas while a top 5star DT/DE would have a major impact, I don't think it'd be nearly to the same level.

We need to have a great season and get him flip him. Would quite possibly be a program altering type of move, which is kinda crazy to say. But I really think that would mark a major shift in this program.

IMO WR is the 2nd most important position in modern cfb.

Absolutely could be my man. I mean he’s a program changing recruit and we desperately need our program changed

There’s certainly something in it for kids that want to build something especially with your buddies

I hope the fans show up. I’m coming down from the Northeast for the opener and then plan on doing it again for Week 2. A&M will travel well, wish it was a night game but it should still be an absolutely packed house.
