Cause they been losing little battles on the trail for a few years and that hurts you in those types of games. If Bain was on fsu that makes a huge difference. I’m always going to say it’s about players always has been always will be. They won’t get lightfoot and Scott, that’s big time and screws them really bad.

If we are talking about wins and losses maybe with a guy like Marvin Harrison we’d be in the playoffs too. Considering we are a handful of better play calls, a kid making a play on offense, a QB not throwing 3 ints from being a 9-10 win team.

Ive been saying this since Texas A&M this if he doesn’t want to be a Cane it’s not because of on the field stuff.

re: Colbie Young, what I can say is that the difference between last year and this year was immense.

Think about that - dude was pretty much unknown until last year. Last year he showed hands but I thought he was plodding.
This year he was leaner and more explosive straight line speed. If he improves route running, he will be a real problem.
 
Guys play faster the less they think

Look at some of our guys on defense for example just playing downhill. Same as a running back can play fast if he’s decisive

Colbie should be a threat next year can’t wait

I’m pretty sure he’s going to FSU, if not OSU. They have made him a huge priority and I know he likes white Mike. But if Mario somehow pulls this off, you’ll never hear a single bad word about the man from me. This is the recruit we’ve missed on for two decades.

We would have missed on Bain and others like pancake brown Francis Kinsler Cooper Lee Fletcher Ray Ray etc. most those guys I’m 10000% sure would not have come here. I know people say Bain was a cane but bruh I have seen kids like him love Miami but trust Saban more over the years.

We don’t know that. We paid a lot for that class. But that aside, none of them are Smith. He’s the unicorn no one has been able to recruit here since Butch. He would be the canary in the coal mine for the rest of the country.

I will say then for me it’s a fact. It’s my opinion but I believe it. That will make it more clear, obviously we don’t know that but it’s how I have seen Miami for a long time. Not being able to get kids that film pops that the elites want. I usually always felt they left us scraps that they didn’t want.

I am 100% in agreement to everything here, JS is DIFFERENT, there are tiers and dude is like Andre johnson, patrick johnson/peterson, Dalvin Cook, level talent, just that much better than whoever you got.. and would completely change the outlook of Miami. Its hard to explain but those who understand know, this is a TOUGHHHHH recruitment and if he pulled THIS off, then wow idk what to say, trouble for alot of people..
