Body of work tho...Andre didn't get his due because of his QB play. I'm saying if Andre had a QB he might've put up 1600 receiving yards. He still was a Parade All American with his stats back then. He got his respect. I definitely would have chosen Andre
What you mean if he had a QB!?! He had mutha ****** Roscoe P Coltrain(Parrish)

Andre Johnson was one of the most highly recruited, rated, and sought after players in Florida and the country. He was nicknamed "The Specimen" on the Florida High School Gridiron Report. Offenses weren't nearly as pass happy, vertical, or horizontal. But, he was scoring at an insane rate of touchdowns per catch. The dude was a man among boys, and virtually everyone saw him as a potential NFL player. It was pretty obvious on film.

99 was Roscoe’s sophomore year. And Dre had another WR opposite him. Dre was a ball of clay coming out of high school. Loaded with potential and just had a NFL frame coming out. Got coached up at the U, work hard, and you add that physical ability, you can’t lose.

Accoring to someone I know, Andre Johnson would often do an extra set of his workout circuits on his own, because he didn't want to make other people feel bad in the gym.

He would tell people that he wasn't really all that strong, but just had genetic aesthetics.

Lol I see your point but crazy to compare these two
Shows you that this system would make JS eat like no other. Cause even if X got 1000 yards and MH got 800 and its draft day I am taking Harrison all day. But the point is if X is eating then imagine what a super talent could do here?

I know you know this, this isnt like a shot at you I just thought I mention it. It was probably written 50 times already lol

Unbelievable athlete without a doubt the best WR to ever come out of South Florida. Jeremiah Smith is also in that category but he’s a different body type than Dre. He’s built more like Julio.

Dre had an NFL body 6’3 & 220-230 pounds with legit low 4.4 speed and a 35 inch vertical. As someone stated above they didn’t pass the ball nearly as much back then…

He caught 31 passes for 908 yards and 15 touchdowns during his senior season…returned 10 kickoffs for 310 yards and two scores, and four punts for 190 yards and one touchdown as a senior…had 25 catches for 618 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior…

Essentially he scored on every other catch which is insane…

Dude had bodybuilding genetics and ran a 4.4 40 with a 35 inch vertical as a high school senior.

One thing people aren't considering when looking at Dre's HS stats is the style of play in SoFla. Running the ball was king. Option/Veer was the en vogue offense and the dominance of teams like CC, The West & Southridge spoke to that. Passing was straight slants, hitches and 9's.

Only one team was really airing it out in the Tri-County back then, Plantation. If my memory serves me correctly, Beard might've been the only cat to crack a grand down here. Definitely the only one to do it more than once. Rohan used to chuck it, but not like Schneider.

Passing is LIGHT-YEARS from where it was in SoFla in the Late 90's. For Dre to **** near hit a band on 40 catches no less, is probably more impressive than what Smith is doing right now...

That's not the dre I know. Dre has always been a leader and his version of leading is done quietly and by example. He was routinely leading the pack in his numbers and if they were challenged he enjoyed showing people he still had more in the tank. Boy has always been a work out freak.
