JC JACKSON!

I want JC here as bad as the next guy but last time I checked he hasnt shown anything at the college level . So let's calm down on the " coming in as number 1 CB " stuff. Elder is the man until I see other wise.

Elder is not as good as everybody keeps screaming. He is a solid corner. He would not even had got drafted if he came out and that's why his *** came back.

He is much better in the slot than he is on the outside.

Cubana has blinders the size of tostones lol.
The current UM roster at CB is the weakest it's been in since before Schnellenberger. JC will start in a heartbeat this year and I'll take a PERMANENT ban if you agree to your own bet Cubana.
Stop calling people dummys when you're the only one on this board that agrees with your view.
Who's the dummy? The consensus says you are but I'm willing to wait for it all to play out before calling a fellow fan degrading names.

You got the same bet.....................................DUMMY!

Exactly. Corn is a solid nickel, rush db, and a proven returner but he hasn't proven anything on the edge to show he's a 1 or 2.
We all love the guy but expecting him to be a shut down cb in an attack defense is a huge gamble.

JC was set to start opposite Harvgreaves this season. He keeps his head on straight, and there is no Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson because he plays before them both . He is legit, he is our #1 CB and the moment he steps on campus IMO. He is probably 1 and done too to be honest, and I'll take that. 3 years removed from HS after next season, and he is off the charts athletically. I like Corn a lot I really do, don't get me wrong..but Corn isn't JC physically and on a good UM team Corn is playing Nickel not our starting outside guy. Just because he is our best CB due to our current poor CB situation let's not talk as if he can't be beat out. We NEED Jackson and if Jackson is here he is the guy playing opponents top wideout, not Corn..

JC would have been a 2 year starter at uf by now. Coaches was saying that he was going to be a superstar. I remember espn saying the coaches was raving about him.

A lot of players came back to play their SR year to improve there NFL draft status. Do you have any idea how many player apply? How many actually get drafted? To play your SR year is nothing to frown on.

At this point we are only concerned about him playing at the college level.

Well I've actually seen him play college football , I haven't seen Jc.

So I'll crown the guy I know is good .

Yes, it's simple.
Go back and look at the spring practice reports. JC was running with the ones opposite a top 15 pick in 2 months EVERYDAY in practice and was gonna be the guy until he got in trouble.

He came back to improve status, he'd been drafted. But if you're not projected in first three rounds you should come back . If you don't that's foolish .

Pretty sure he got hurt and missed rest of the season. I'm also pretty sure he played first game and didn't start.

Pretty sure he got hurt and was going to redshirt

Maybe you are correct, but my point still stands. Until the setback, whether it was injury or the legal trouble, he was going to start besides VH. No point in talking about this as it could all be for nothing. Just found it funny people speaking as if Corn is this CB whose spot is locked in and no way any way JC can unseat him as the #1 guy, that's laughable.

Corn is over rated and there is no way around it.

He didn't start the one game he played , the game he hurt shoulder in

I disagree , he's a good CB, not great . I don't think anybody thinks he's Deion .

But I don't want to hear how much better Jc is until he actually shows it.

Im from the school of show me on Saturdays , Ibe seen enough green tree superstars to no better than to do that

Corn gave up a lot of big plays last year and nobody brings that up. If it had been howard giving up those plays y'all would have dragged him through the mud.

Just as it kills the blinders to believe the staff was handing tyler Byrd a starting cb spot when he laughed in our faces. It's true. The staff promised him a starting spot and he went elsewhere anyway. We need JC worse than most of you know.

Let's stop arguing about moot points. If anyone has any ideas about how we can help the staff get JC on campus to let's discuss and see if we can make it happen.

I honestly believe the fact that many of us boosters bombarded CMR, Rumph, and others with tweets and emails is a big reason JC is even this topic of conversation. Let's not stop now!

Here is the thing, you guys are trying to compare JC to Corn based off what you've read about JC's success in a defensive system that played to his strengths but JC never logged any actual game time.

However, Corn excelled in a defensive system that did not play to his strengths and he has logged valuable game experience along with the pressures of guarding the top college receivers over the past few years. If you know anything about playing football you understand that the speed of the game is critical and I'm willing to bet that the speed of the game will be much slower for Corn than it will be for JC. Now just imagine how much better Corn will be in a system that plays to his strengths?

With that said, if our coaching staff is up to par then JC will eventually be the no.1 CB and because we play such a soft schedule at the beginning of the season it will work to JC's advantage to be coached up to eventually take on that role. So I wouldn't be surprised to see him line up against the top receivers of those weaker teams. But don't be mistaken Corn is your best CB and will remain that game one. With better coaching Corn will be significantly better and you will see that on the field when we play the stronger teams on our schedule.
