When asked in an interview if he remembered the last time someone beat him for a td Tyler Byrd sited JC Jackson and the date that it happened. He should remember that day because JJ beat him like a drum for 3 tds. Would love to add this kid if for no other reason then to scare the ever loving **** out of Byrd should we ever meet up with UT and Byrd in a bowl

Here's the video...

pulled his hamstring @ 0:30 and still scored.

....and he scored because Byrd threw his hands up in frustration and gave up on the play.

And we wanted Byrd?

I'd love to add this guy but i'd imagine he will take his talents to Muschamp and TRob if he goes anywhere. It wouldn't shock me if they do find 1 more player to add between now and summer ball along the lines of this guy.

Richt just took JEFF James. A kid who might snap and kill someone at any moment.

I keep seeing this sort of commentary about James. What makes him such an axe murderer? He been stealing lunch money since kindergarten? Loved his film.

Go Canes!

Jackson is exactly the type of shythead Richt was regularly throwing off his UGA teams. I'm sure he'll hurry right over to Jackson's probation officer and see how far he can travel before his ankle bracelet starts beeping.

UF, a breeding ground for young convicts, threw this **** out. I doubt it was an isolated incident that caused the boys camp in Gainesville to kick this clown out.

If UF axed this kid, can you imagine what a problem he is?

Wanted this kid bad a couple years ago - elite playmaker. Too bad he's partaken too often in skullduggery.

Yep we need to get rid of Gerald Willis.

There was plenty of talk that he had a very checkered background. UF is a criminal breeding ground famous for looking the other way and giving 4th chances. They didn't fire him based on speculation of a single bad act.

@TheFranchise - So what did it cost UF? Negative publicity? According to you UF is a breeding ground for criminals. And people like you say UM is a breeding ground for Thugs. Point is people will always have negative things to say about anything or anybody. At the end of the day UF didn't lose or gain a **** thing as you so eloquently pointed out. So it is worth a try.

That was Corch Irvin Myers. I actually thought Muschamp handled discipline just fine.

Pass....kid shows poor decision making to get into that predicament. Also, keep in mind if this fool does something again, the school can get sued ala Baylor. We just getting from up under the NCAA. Don't need any trouble.

1000x this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^, just like the Patriots got sued for Aaron Hernandez committing a murder.

wait a second.webp

There goes the lawsuit scare tactic. The Patriots were added to the lawsuit only to withhold $3.35 million that was owed to Hernandez on the remaining payment on his contract. Currently colleges and university are not permitted to sign players for annual compensations while playing sports. So much for the liability claims.

When it comes to building a team there's more to it than finding guys who like to break into houses and shoot guns and declaring them savages. You have to find guys who can play and who won't be major distractions. I'm sure Briles thought he was smart when he took the blue-chip rapist from Boise State. Then, when the maniac decided to rape again, Briles had to spend an inordinate amount of time lying about not knowing the guy was a rapist. Major distraction.

You want to see how the wrong savages can fck your team up? Take a look at the Bengals most recent playoff game against the Steelers. Two brain surgeons, who UM fans would drool over because they are head cases, Burfict and Pac Man, wind up costing the Bengals a chance at the Super Bowl.

Way too many times teams give guys 3rd or 4th chances when the HC is desperate to get over the hump or to keep his job. Then they find out that a leopard usually doesn't change his spots. Remember Cecil Collins and how he deserved another chance? Demertrious Underwood? The list is a mile long. How about what a distraction Greg Hardy was for the Cowboys all year? Did his handful of sacks justify all that nonsense?

I don't think Richt has reached the desperation point in his second month on the job to take a **** like Jackson.

@TheFranchise - It's easy to avoid giving a player a second chance or a third chance on life by hiding behind such catch phrases as savages, distractions or criminals etc. The hardest thing for some bigots is to recognize and give credit to the many successful players who have overcome adversities in there life after a chance, then 2nd, 3rd or 4th. As you ignorantly try to white wash the successful stories I'll share a few positives.

What many people don’t realize when they see an NFL player celebrating after getting a first down or dancing after a touchdown is how much he had to overcome just to get there. While the list of guys who have overcome adversity to make a name for themselves in the league goes on for days, these are just a few who did it. Here is five NFL players who overcame adversities and became successful.

1) Michael Irvin
2) Ray Lewis
3) Dez Bryant
4) Michael Oher
5) Adrien Peterson

Overcoming some of the biggest obstacles you could imagine, these men used the game to give their families hope and to ensure themselves a better future. At the end of the day, is there really more to ask for?

I don't think somebody is s bigot to not want guys on the roster that are shady characters or have a history of breaking the law. I get giving second chances but I also get not wanting to take a chance on these cats. There's high odds that it'll happen again.

I personally might give a second chance here , the coaches at UF actually wanted him back. But the UAA didn't , they're trying clean their image up from the Meyer years . Even though we all know that stain never leaves once you get it.

Cribby, Don't let the word bigot distract you from the point. Being a bigot doesn't always mean something racial. It also means, a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions.

Yes Richt throws players off his team because he cares about making these kids men, and showing them there are consequences to their actions. However that doesn't mean he won't give someone a chance. Not that I know anything of Jackson's situation specifically, but people should be able to get multiple chances; Not necessarily with the same team/coach, but they if earn it, you can give them a chance. It becomes the players chance if he takes it or not.
Right now Richt is in a position where we really need CB's and we have available space. He already said that if you do anything wrong like stealing you will be kicked off the team. So, we give Jackson a chance and leave it up to him to see if he takes his chance.
