JC Jackson says Miami no.1 choice!!!!

### In an interview with Canesport today, four-star cornerback J.C. Jackson confirmed what his defensive backs coach had told me previously: that UM is pursuing him. He said he will make a decision in two weeks, and that UM and South Carolina are the schools "mainly" in it. UM "has a fair chance," Jackson said. "That's my home team."

His coach at Riverside Community College, Isaac Shipp, told me Tuesday that Jackson told him that UM is his top choice. Shipp also said that Jackson told Shipp that Jackson has been talking to defensive backs coach Mike Rumph "every other day." But Jackson told Canesport that he talked to Rumph for the first time last week and plans to speak with Mark Richt and Manny Diaz.

Did people really just ignore this update talking about BS? smh. Buddy basically said he will make his choice in 2 weeks! And we have a 50/50 shot.

My point was that people were saying if we get JC to go along with Colbert that we DEF have a shot at winning the Coastal. Which sounds crazy because we should win the **** coastal with or without them.

And the exp of having JC (who people on here crown as being better then Elder for some reason) and having Colbert is like adding two skilled, experienced secondary players back there.

Whether the analogy fits or not is irrelevant, if we get JC, we better be thinking ACC title! **** the Coastal!

Could be trying to build suspense. Maybe the DB coach spoke out of turn when JC wanted that info to be confidential. Remember he and Trob are supposedly cool so maybe he wanted to tell him personally that USCe wasnt his first choice. Who knows..we will all in two weeks then we can stop these 20 page threads on him.
 
i like the fact Rumph is keeping in contact. We was his second choice behind the gators my guess we land him

Agreed. Adding those 2 guys takes a position of little depth and turns it into a strength IMO. I thought we should be fighting for the ACC title before those guys and now I feel like we should make a run.

Next season will be about whether the OL can make improvements from one of the worst lines in recent memory into an at least average unit.

I could give two ***** about Unc myself. I'm a canes fan that supports my brother. But yes I'm basing my analysis of Mitch on what I've seen in little pt plus what my bro says he looks like in practice. and to the other posters point we're talking about a sophomore unseating a majority hyped all American senior, hard to to do. But they split time the year before, that should tell you something

At least we now know that UNC's backup QB is the next Tim Tebow, Tabor is better than VHIII, chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying, non diary creamer is flammable and a ****roach can live up to nine days without its head.. before it finally starves to death. I think that about covers everything. Intradesting.

JC needs to consider how nasty our dl has the potential to be for the next couple years. Lots of pressure means less time for DBs to get beat = DBs look much better.
 
Having seen Trubisky a number of times in high school, I would say he is not a running qb but rather a qb who can run. But this is a UM board and Trubisky ain't my qb so who freakin' cares? I don't know if JC and Colbert are better or worse than Artie and Bush, but I do know that they are two really good players at positions of need (obviously). Artie and Bush could've split the Heisman last year and it would do absolutely nothing for us this year.

It's pretty simple. SC has 17 DBs on their roster and we have 11. That's without incoming players. If he goes there instead it's what I would call "Insanity- expecting different results when doing the same things".
 
Being a Cane fan and UNC insider source, what do you think about the academic scandal? If you cared enough to guide your brother away from city of Miami,why would you not care about him getting a quality education? If he ever got hurt he would need some education don't you think?

I dont think competition is one of his concerns...especially if he's as good as advertised. Also dont forget that Trob is now there
